Re: i need help :(

A couple of answers I can think of. 1) I think on this situation, for you specifically, you have to give God the benefit of the doubt. Even if you never understand why He made the 'rule', You still have to follow it since You know he has your best interests at heart. 2) I can think of several worldl...

Re: i need help :(

Sorry, two more things. 1) You're right, Zoe doesn't know your relationship. But that is exactly the kind of person you should listen to. She knows the rules (man I hate that word) that christians are supposed to follow and since she isn't close to the situation she is in no danger of trying to just...

Re: i need help :(

I hate to jump in so far into the discussion, but I wanted to give my two cents. I started dating my future wife when I was 16 and she was 15. We were having sex at that young age. A couple of years later we truly accepted Christ (we called ourselves Christians the whole time, but we weren't actuall...

Re: Enoch

There is another book called the Book of Enoch supposedly written by himself or (I think) his son. It was not, for whatever reason, included in the Old Testament, so I would read with caution. It is an interesting read and may help shed some light. In it, Enoch served as a messenger/transcriber for ...

Re: Your computer?

I sold the old computer I built before I went to basic. As soon as I get a chance I plan on building myself a new one. I've always been partial to AMD/ATI myself.

Re: Time scale? a very long time indeed.

My two cents on KJV: I think it reads very poetic. I can't imagine the Psalms or Song of Solomon in any other version.

Re: This may not be any of my business, but...

I have a tattoo on my arm of my daughters footprint. I don't see what would be wrong with that. Or really any nonoffensive tattoo.

Question about past member

I've been away a while, so forgive me. But does anyone know anything about FFC? He was on here back when I frequented the boards, and now I haven't heard from him since I've been back. Does anyone know what happened?

Re: This may not be any of my business, but...

Maybe I am confused, but what is wrong with purple hair dye or tattoos? I have a tattoo and plan on getting many more. Is that bad?

Re: My eye got caught.Help.

I was born and raised in a Christian home, but it was not until I read up on the science behind Christianity that I myself became a Christian. I hope this website and the numerous other sources on the subject help you the way they've helped me. Science was definitely what opened the door to Christ. ...

Basic, anyome? Or Frequeny? Man, I must be the only one.

Anyway, top three would be 300, Frequency, and Dodgeball (I know, I know, but I just can't resist).

Oh, what about Liminy Snickets (sp).

Re: Living in Luxury

I like the article. I only have a few things to add. I heard some one say this once, and it stuck with me: Everyone thinks that what they make is just right. For example, the Guy who makes 30k thinks that 50k is 'luxurious.' But the Guy who makes 50k thinks 75k is 'luxurious.' I heard CS Lewis say i...

Re: Favourite books and/or What are you reading now?

My favourite was the privileged planet by Guillermo Gonzalez. Also, Darwin's Black Box and the Edge if Evolution, both by Micheal Behe are excellent. As for fiction, anything by Daniel Silva.
