Re: Once Saved always saved?
2 Timothy 1:12-13 "If we endure, we will reign with Him. If we disown him, He will disown us. If we are faithless, He will remain faithful" The earlier verse shows that if we outright disown him, we can loose our salvation. If that happens though, we can always come back to Him as shown in...

Re: satan and hell
God has told us that hell was created for satan and demons, not for men. So one day satan and his demons wil end up in hell. But isn't kind of a reward for a demon and satan to be in hell? It is to send them home. Plus they wil 'enjoy' themselves, torturing poor souls for eternity. Doesn't look lik...

Re: The Most Important Rule??
mkay, I'll contribute what I think. My belief is that our sinful nature makes us flawed and imperfect rather than "evil". Commiting a sin even once, no matter how good natured you are otherwise, doesn't really make you evil or an abomination of anykind, but it does still make you flawed. I...

Re: What's in a name?
Mine is the name of the heavenly beings mentioned in Isaiah's vision in Isaiah 6:2. They are also the highest choir of angels in the angelology hierarchy, even though I think that whole belief system is man made. I don't know, I think its a cool name and It's my screen name on a lot of forums, thoug...

Re: to all theist evolutionists
I myself am a borderline Theistic Evolutionist/Old Earth Creationist, whether macroevolution really occured isn't all too important to me as far as faith in God. Though it clearly obvious to me that both science (and the bible for that matter) show that the earth is billions, not thousands of years ...

Re: Aborted Fetuses?
I also do not believe in heaven being the reward of the saved, nor in an eternal, ever-burning hell. I'll ask you also in addition to Marcosll, what do you picture the afterlife to be? If there is no salvation, whats the point of having your sins forgiven? Ultimatly, isn't finding yourself in God's...

Re: what exactly is forsaking God?
It means to convert away from Christianity. I don't think that converting from Christianity is the same thing as forsaking God. I think one can be a non Christian and still be seeking after God, they just might not think that Christianity is the way to God. I think that when one gives up seeking Go...

Re: Aborted Fetuses?
I agree with others that we no evidence on what happens to babies after death. With issues like this all one can do is tell themself that God will deal with them justly. I find this pretty interesting 3) Personally I don't think heaven or hell exist. I do, however, believe in God and in the afterlif...

Re: women to be silent in church?
One of the problems with "Scripture" is it's full of rubbish. Messages not directly from God. If you're Christian then you should focus on the things Jesus actually preached and try to see the bigger picture. Don't take the Bible to literally. There are many things modern churches try to ...

Re: If a Begin requires a Beginner...
Well I don't know about that.
God hasn't appeared to athiests yet and it possible for someone to geniunely not believe in God, so I don't think that means that they are actually agnostics. I do agree that atheism is ludacrous though.

Himan Skeletons? Creationists don't accept there are skeletons before our present state. Eve was the first woman with the pre-pain body. no fossils Well about the multiply pains and posters here trying to say woman had pain. The clear idea from God or as you see it from the human author is to revea...

Re: Hell
Dead is not the same thing as Hell. The same thing happens to the saved and not saved, we all die at some point, what happens AFTER death is whats different for the saved and not saved. Plus, I doubt that Lazarus or Moses ever went to Hell. When Jesus or God say "____ is dead" that doesn't...

Re: Bible stories literal or symbolic?
I'm not completly sure on this one. I believe much if not all of it is literal, but that a lot of it is also figurative. For example, I think in the garden of eden, "serpent" was simply sort of a nickname to describe the devil. Revelations is clearly not meant to be taken literally as well...

Re: The Third Day
I guess the question revolves around how much light energy would be prevented form reaching the plants. Even on a mildly cloudy day when the sun is obscured, some light energy is available for photosynthesis. And for some of the earliest forms of photosynthetic life, the single celled protists, the...
