Re: Judgement Day Vision

The main thing that bothers me is the "you barely made it" comment. When we trust in Jesus, we wear his righteousness as our garnment, and his righteousness is 100% perfection, which is required to make heaven, therefore the comment doesn't really make sense. You either make it or not. The bible doe...

Re: Is Christianity out of date?

jesus is the truth. the truth doesn't get outdated, rather, we can only get a firmer grasp of it with time.

Re: Does anyone else not focus on God a lot with all their being?

I just find it hard to love my neighbor, especially when it seems they don't love me back. Maybe your neighbor is an angel who is having sexual relations with your female neighbor. That may be why you have a difficult time loving your neighbor. I find it difficult to love fallen angels too. :pound:...

Re: How come Jesus never wrote anything down?

Jesus lived in an Oral culture, back then people could memorize their teachers words, and write them down later.

Plus, remember, it wasn't immediately evident to some people that Jesus was the Messiah.

Re: WAS it an angel?

This looks like an angel. Angel's apparently have the ability to take human bodies that are sexually compatible with women, if the stories regarding the Nephilim are true, although this angers God and he casts them into hell for it.

Wasn't that given to Adam and Eve? :) Also, WWJD? :P
To be fair, can you imagine the theological problems that would arise if Jesus had children?

Re: Asking God to reveal himself?

It's funny you mention Occam's Razor, because from my point of view it proves the existence of God, when applied to questions like... Why do humans have a sense of and desire for Justice or Morality (Good vs Evil)? Why is morality objective? Why is there life on Earth? Did the universe appear from n...

Re: I never knew you...

I don't see a distinction. A believer is one who believes in/trusts Christ for salvation. Non-believers/false believers don't believe in/trust Christ for salvation. The main difference is that false believers may be professing Christians (even if they trust in their own works and never had the spir...

Replace non-believers with false-believers and I believe this is more accurate. I don't see a distinction. A believer is one who believes in/trusts Christ for salvation. I never knew you...

This is what I wrote about the subject... From http://christessays.com/2018/06/14/matthew-7-21/ I Never Knew You 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lor...

Re: Did God want us to stay stupid and without a conscience?

we will never evolve into God's. it was a simple test of obedience that humanity failed and there after became Gods enemies. bible project says the tree allows us to determine our own morality, which falls short of Gods objective morality. if we obeyed God perfectly we would be without sin, but no h...
