Re: Eternal Security...(Revised May 2015)

RickD this part of the conversation isn't really directed at you. You have already stated that you believe that Paul was talking about someone that was saved. LittleHamster is trying to play both sides. LittleHamster is not wanting to admit if Paul is talking about a person that was saved or someone...

Re: Eternal Security...(Revised May 2015)

The sanctification Paul was talking about in this chapter was salvation. Lost people are not perfected. So the lost can not be sanctified in the blood of Jesus. So if someone is said to be sanctified by the blood of Jesus then they most be saved. Unsaved people can not be sanctified by the blood of ...

Re: Eternal Security...(Revised May 2015)

So sense we agree that Paul was talking about what happens to a person, if they sin willfully after they are saved. Then we must agree that Paul said that they were on there way to hell. Hebrews 10:27  But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation , which shall devour the adver...

Re: Eternal Security...(Revised May 2015)

I guess we are agreeing that Paul is referring to what happens to a believer if they sin willfully after they are saved.

Paul said they were sanctified by the blood of Jesus. Which to me according to that chapter says they were saved.

At lest we agree there.

Re: Eternal Security...(Revised May 2015)

That was a well thought out reply. There is still some mistakes in it. To be sanctified in the blood of Jesus is not the same as the husband and child being sanctified because of the wife. According to the sanctification in Hebrews 10 your sins were forgiven and you were made perfect. We know that t...

Re: Eternal Security...(Revised May 2015)

Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey ; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? Romans 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine w...

Re: Eternal Security...(Revised May 2015)

You are assuming that that verse is referring to losing or not losing your sanctification. that verse has nothing to do with losing or not losing your sanctification. that verse is just saying that for those that are sanctified when they were forgiven from there sins, there sins that they were forgi...

Re: Eternal Security...(Revised May 2015)

For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. what this verse is saying is that by the one sacrifice(Jesus dying on the cross) he hath perfected them that are sanctified. You have to remember the context here. Paul was referring to the fact that under the old law the sacri...

Re: Eternal Security...(Revised May 2015)

In Hebrew 10:14 it is saying that Jesus died once for all our sins, and it is though that one sacrifice that we are perfected for all time. No matter how many times we have to go to him and confess our sins it is though that one sacrifice that we are perfected.

Re: Eternal Security...(Revised May 2015)

That lady overlooked the fact again that the person was sanctified. Text is key and in that time there were people turning back to the Jewish law from the law of Grace, and Paul was explaining to them what happens to a person that sins against both Covenant. So the text was about the Jews that were ...

Re: Eternal Security...(Revised May 2015)

At least this man admitted that the person Paul was talking about was sanctified but he tried to explain it by saying everyone is sanctified. He said that Jesus sacrificing His body once for all mean that everyone Christians and sinners alike are sanctified, but that is not right sinners are not san...

Re: Eternal Security...(Revised May 2015)

Hebrews 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, where with he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? That person on that video sure wa...

Re: Eternal Security...(Revised May 2015)

You wont it to say that but that is not what is says. it can't possibly mean what you are saying it means. First Hebrews 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he wa...
