Re: "Can people in heaven look down and see us?"

Just my personal opinion on this but I don't think they 'see' us how we perceive sight but I do think they are aware of us.

The forgiveness thing, I think they forgive you, they love you. God has forgiven you, they live with God so it stands to reason they will too.

Re: Why can`t I hear God?

That makes sense :) I have always, always questioned things, asking why? Why is myfavourite q. I prayed last night, asked God why, know what came to me? Because that's what drives me. I have this drive to learn and question. That's my gift. Maybe I'm starting to ask why in the right places. And mayb...

Re: Does Evolution and Science draw people away from God?

Still making my mind up on all of this having recently come to God. I had always gone with evolution, now I'm not so sure. Is ID Independent Design? As in God, the creator? How do Neanderthal Man fit in? Dinosaurs? When (and who) were Adam and Eve? My take on it all is that these are all details. Al...

Re: How can we know if we know we have absolute truth?

In a previous post you said that if rape was objective it would be rape regardless of age, it is!
Statuatory rape is considered rape as the law says that they are below the age of consent, so unable to give consent. Therefore rape, same as someone above the age of consent who doesn't consent.

Re: How can we know if we know we have absolute truth?

Can I add that rape has nothing to do with age, it's about consent. Consent has to do with age. If a 20 yr old person has sex with a 17 year old person in the State of California, that is defined as rape; even if both parties are willing participants. Ken Hi ken, I'm from the UK so please forgive m...

Re: Does Evolution and Science draw people away from God?

On the other side of the argument lies the belief that since some kinds of evolution are provable or observable, that means all evolution is assumed to be true. No scientist uses such argumentation. Like simple life forms evolving into sentient humans. Truly amazing, yes? Evolution's evidence-based...

Re: Why can`t I hear God?

Hi Cain:) That`s the beauty of all of this! I get the fact that it`s through grace, I know that I will never, ever, in this lifetime meet the standards of God but that`s the point isn`t it? That`s why this is all so mind blowing. Jesus took all of our sin so we can live with God. I know I will have t...

Re: Why can`t I hear God?

That is indeed what I meant Rick. I'm still right at the beginning of my journey with God, and Christ. I have read, and will carry on reading, many books about what the Christian faith means, what it really means to follow Christ. No matter which way I look at it,how incredible and just so mind bogg...

Re: Does Evolution and Science draw people away from God?

Could that common ancestor be God? Evolution, for me, doesn't conflict with my faith. I'm still fairly new to reading the bible and need to look into the details but Genesis could be explaining a whole lot of things, evolution, even the big bang. (First there was light) Could we not view our salvati...
