Re: The Faith of Atheists and Agnostics

The point is Kenny you know murdering someone because of the colour of their skin is wrong independent of people's opinions, you know it to your core. So be honest with what that conclusion means with regard to an objective moral reality. We've been over this already; calling morality Objective doe...

Re: The Faith of Atheists and Agnostics

It doesn't have to be absolutely proven, we only need to establish that it is innately true or self evidently true. Sorry but I'm gonna have to disagree with you my friend; facts do have to be absolutely proven. If it isn't absolutely proven it isn't a fact. Ken Squirm all you like Kenny! I may hav...

Re: The Faith of Atheists and Agnostics

It doesn't have to be absolutely proven, we only need to establish that it is innately true or self evidently true. And you innately know it to be true regardless of other people's opinions as do many others, that's enough to establish that objective morality exists

Re: The Faith of Atheists and Agnostics

Of course it is wrong! I’ve never suggested it was anything other than! But it is subjectively wrong; not objectively wrong. I never said you did. But it seems you side stepped the deeper question in a slight of hand. You didn't agree that it is wrong regardless of what other people think. Therefor...

Re: The Faith of Atheists and Agnostics

Kenny, Your response demonstrates that either you fail to understand what I wrote or perhaps you are trying to side step answering it directly because you didn't like the conclusion. The reasons for someone committing murder are by definition subjective Kenny, whether murder is right or wrong is a d...

Re: The Faith of Atheists and Agnostics

To clarify further Kenny.. To say morality is subjective is to say morality is dependent upon peoples opinions. To say morality is objective is to say there are certain actions which are right or wrong independent of people's opinions. So for example, to say murder is objectively wrong is to say it ...

Re: The Faith of Atheists and Agnostics

Kenny, Regardless you still fail to see that you employ an objective moral reality in order for your "consideration" about what's moral to take place. What is it about my moral views that convinces you that they are objective? Ken Why are your subjective moral opinions any better than any other sub...

Re: The Faith of Atheists and Agnostics

Kenny, Regardless you still fail to see that you employ an objective moral reality in order for your "consideration" about what's moral to take place. Interestingly, you are doing this also in your comment where some of your views you wouldn't ask God to consider. We have had this discussion before ...

Re: The Faith of Atheists and Agnostics

Kenny,

So you want God to take into consideration murder and torture etc. and not some of your other opinions, to also say they are purely your subjective moral opinions.

Meanwhile failing to see that you are declaring God as the objective moral reality!

Kenny you are seriously blind!

Kenny wrote: I said I am certain that YOUR concept of God is not behind what exists.
And

Kenny wrote: Of the options on that list, I would have to go with Omnipresence, and Omniscience.

K
Certain huh? Wow Kenny are you omniscient?
