Re: Who made the rule that death is the punishment for sin?
Yes checkmate You can actually see how stupid it is for Outlaw to make a rule TO HIS KIDS and then say 'Well, ok, since i love you, ill let you off the hook" i agree its ridiculous. But then fail to see it when OUTLAW does it with vicarious redemption, it's the same thing!!! OUTLAW makes the r...

Re: Slavery in the Bible
No matter how you want to explain it, making rules in regards to how slave owners are punished for treating their slaves is immoral as far as im concerned. The fact that rules were made is enough it doesn't matter whether it's if or when they die or what the punishment is it's irrelevant. Allowing ...

Re: Who made the rule that death is the punishment for sin?
I wouldn't call someone who makes those types of rules loving, these are not rules that a loving god would make in my opinion. They're also not what I would call just, because if these rules were just back then they should also be just now. Love is of little relevence here, if any. Rules exist to g...

Re: Slavery in the Bible
...Of course if you want to believe that the god that gave these rules is loving and just then you have to sugar coat these verses in order to hold those views, you have to find a way to explain away the harshness of these verses and I've gotta say you've done it exceptionally, I just don't buy it ...

Re: Slavery in the Bible
I have to apologize. I made a mistake on my last post. In my analogy, I said, "If my brother owed me money that he couldn't repay, then he'd offer himself as my slave to work off the debt. If my brother became lazy, and stopped working to pay off what he owed me, and the punishment that the la...

I tried to do the test the first time you posted it, I can't get past the first part where you enter your city, the next screen just doesn't show I'm just stuck on that page. Oh...OK. You should have told me that a while ago. I would have stopped harrassing you. I used to know a guy who cleaned the...

Just to clarify I meant come around in his line of thinking hahaa I'll need your address then. The photo isn't of melanie but of her sister Melissa. Melanie weighs 4...

outlaw wrote: I understand that god never instructed people to keep slaves, but he also didn't seem to have a problem with it. My questions never indicate that. It only seems to you that God didn't have a problem with slavery, because of your bias. None of the texts you've quoted say anything about...

Re: Who made the rule that death is the punishment for sin?
In terms of exploitation and undercover slavery still going on in this world, well, i probably feel that more than other's in this here forum, and it doesn't even have to happen in third world countries, for it exists even here in Amerika! You are right, slavery does exist in rich countries... In t...

Re: Who made the rule that death is the punishment for sin?
No i don't believe i fit that description, your making up your own version of a slave owner and trying to tell me i'm one. CUT THE CRAP! Another example of you not understanding what is plainly written: I didn't say you were a slave owner , Einstein. We in rich countries have slaves working for us ...
