Who Knows

We often tend to negate our feelings as byproducts of the human condition, so as not to be trusted. Just because we may feel a certain way, fervently so, it could be folly and hold no basis in truth. That accounts across the board, in many differing areas. We can’t really rely merely on intellect al...

Re: Does black privilege exist?

I would like to think we are all adult and mature enough to discuss all nature of topics and use that same measure of maturity to do so in a way that doesn’t adversely harm the message of Christ.

Re: N.Y. adopts law allowing abortion up to nine months

In regards to suicide and the hypocrisy of capital punshiment. People take a “theory” or phi...

Re: N.Y. adopts law allowing abortion up to nine months

I think the nuances of such laws are relevant. Do I think third trimester abortions are ethical, no I don't. The mere suggestion is confronting. But when I read the parameters of the bill, from a medical perspective I understood a little more. "when the mother’s life was in danger or the fetus was ...

Re: Does black privilege exist?

I have to add that the mere premise of this thread “Does Black priveldge exist” is ugly. It irks me on so many levels especially considering the opening argument does nothing but highlight why it doesn’t. This a Christian board, not a platform for damaging ideology. Especially considering it came fr...

Re: Does black privilege exist?

Privilege exists on the notion that it's acquired by birthright, race, wealth and social position. It's inherently not a bad thing because we can't choose to what advantage we are born. But we can have the sense of good character to recognise when it has been randomly allocated to us. That boils dow...

Re: Remembering...

I've watched that speech so many times and it never fails to hit me right in heart. I was about 8 when I first heard it, by that time Martin Luther King Jr was long passed. I was bored on the weekend, trying to escape cricket or some other sport on Australian TV when I came across a documentary abou...
