Re: Russian Jet Shot Down by Syrian Rebels

Haha that’s actually funny Rick, because like I’d be so one dimensional to gather my sources from one particular news source that’s suits my purpose. I’m not a conservative. Aww I thought you would know me better than that lol. I don’t even subscribe to AlJazerra, or what ever it’s called. I know it...

Re: WAS dropping atom bombs on WWII Japan an immoral act?

The use of nuclear weapons in the 1940’s I think is entirely permissible to the imperialism in the 21st century. How could it not be!? That’s how you establish dominance. How do think you invade and disrupt? Starve to the tune of millions, systematically topple and manipulate Middle Eastern politics...

Re: The souls of aborted fetuses

I’m not personally going to go into where my views lie either way but your example of thou shall not’s have very extreme variables. Thou shall not murder but yet young and traumatised youths have been convicted of death in very questionable circumstances, especially in the US. Thou shall not steal h...

Re: The souls of aborted fetuses

This argument really annoys me. Because everyone cares, everyone is pro life. I’ve never met a person who doesn’t care. Who isn’t invested in life. Women are at the forefront of this discussion and I think those voices should be heard. We get so lost in the semantics and I know how important the voi...

Re: Russian Jet Shot Down by Syrian Rebels

Blessed what happened in Libya was awful and should never have happened. Gaddafi was building an independent nation and was instrumental in turning Libya around, he was revolutionary. He was paramount to the progression of democracy in the Middle East/Africa. He was not a submissive player but throu...

Re: Is enjoying 50 Shades of Grey sinful?

Ohh and is it sinful....??? Well that entirely depends whether a fictional novel can be construed as sinful? Possibly but once we start down that path many novels spring to mind as possibly sinful and to ban, deter or demonise literature then we open a floodgate to artistic and creative expression a...

Re: Is enjoying 50 Shades of Grey sinful?

I’ve read the books but haven’t seen the movies. I’m much more a reader than a movie person. Critically the books are not the most well written pieces of literature but they are tantalising and thought provoking for the genre intended lol. I enjoyed them, they were fun, not always expertly written b...

Re: WAS dropping atom bombs on WWII Japan an immoral act?

I think the difference is because many people believe that in WW2, the atomic bomb was the catalyst to the end of the war. So as a justification from a US perspective it was successful. A necessary evil. Which is an interesting perspective, considering the lives lost and the ongoing fallout. Is it a...

Re: Morality

It is very easy for people with established morals in a society with established morals to comment on how they don't need objective morals. Why is an objective moral more needed than the subjective moral I vindicate? And so we have the epistemic problem, which is not easier if we claim we have an o...

Re: The Strongest Argument for God

The strongest argument for God? Is probably the weakest also, by many standards..... but by curiosity and faith itself. The intellect can only attempt to answer questions set by the parameters of logic. But human logic is very flawed. It is set by a very subjective construct of reality. Depending on...

Oh Blessed I don't think the issue is with the women but with you.... I've asked God for help but all he does is send me rubbish women who are totally beneath me in looks, intelligence, and morality, I am very stubborn. I am not promiscious and despise promiscious people. I did not work so hard so l...

Re: Broken wrist

... My wrist has muscle atrophy so I’m unable to move or rotate it but my specialist told me a couple of weeks ago to get rid of the splint, grit through the pain and bloody move it. His words. Move it or lose it. So that’s what I’ve done, I have a great physio and I’m signed into a study that star...

Proud of your determination, Mel - just keep on praying and pushing on through the pain. I'll pray as well. Crazy the stuff life throws at us so unexpectedly. Oh, and how is your son doing? Thanks Phil He's doing really good! Healing fast and obnoxious as 16yr olds should be. He recently got his le...
