Re: Gap Theory
So the ones like the End-Permian and the End-Cretaceous may have been natural rather than divine?

Re: Gap Theory
So the End-Pleistocene would fit better with Lucifer's sin than, say, the End-Permian or the End-Cretaceous ones? What cause these other events other than sin?

Re: Gap Theory
Was Lucifer's sin what caused the earth to be without form and void, or was it long before? When would be the best to place Lucifer's sin? Also, would the extinction events of the Precambrian, Paleozoic, and Mesozoic have anything to do with his sin? No it was judgment God poured out because of Luc...

Re: Gap Theory
Could there have been multiple destructions/judgments of the Earth in the geological past since there were multiple mass extinction events, and that Genesis 1:2 is referencing only the most recent one? If this is true, how could Lucifer have sinned only 12,000 years ago?

Gap Theory
I have read a couple possibilities as to when the earth was destroyed (Genesis 1:2) and recreated (starting with Genesis 1:3). One is the Lucifer's world was destroyed at the end of the Mesozoic Era, at the K-Pg Boundary, than recreated beginning in Genesis 1:3 about 6,000 years ago. The second poss...

Re: Bed Bugs ?
The reason I didn't use Google is because I'm sure it would have led me to a YEC blaming bedbugs on Adam's Fall, which would have been unhelpful.RickD wrote:Google it!

Re: Bed Bugs ?
I saw in the article they are for keeping other parasites from filling a niche, but why would God have parasites in the first place? Why this niche?

Bed Bugs ?
I understand why God created carnivores and why predatory activity is necessary so that an ecosystem meltdown doesn't happen. I understand the purpose for death before and after the Fall. I also understand how these things exist in a "very good" creation. But how do bed bugs fit into the e...

Gap Theory: Multiple Judgments ?
Could there have been other judgments than the one in Genesis 1:2 which I assume was the most recent (End Pleistocene)? I ask because of several events in ancient history: Late Heavy Bombardment about four billion years ago Snowball Earth about 700 million years ago At least five other mass extincti...

Pre-Cambrian Land Plants
Some people may have trouble with the apparent conflict with the order of Creation in Genesis and the Geologic Time charts we normally see. Many scientists date land plants to about 400 million years ago, over 100 million years after the Cambrian Explosion which is described in Day Five of Genesis. ...

Re: Full Preterism Wrong
Partial Preterism teaches that part of the Olivet Discourse deals with the Destruction Of Jerusalem in 70 AD, but the Second Coming and Last Judgment are still future.
Full Preterism teaches all prophecy, including the Second Coming and the Last Judgment, was fulfilled in 70 AD.

Full Preterism Wrong
This is for persons who are thinking about or already have embraced Full Preterism: Acts 1:9-11: "And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld , he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight . And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two me...
