Re: USURY...The Forgotten Evil
B.W...writes: Actually, we in the USA live under a republic - not a democracy... Big difference. Bascially, after reading and putting up with jcgood's attacks on anyone who disgrees with him. Be forewarned, my comments to follow will be sharp and cynical... Here goes... My Reply...Actually the USA i...

Re: USA no longrer of Top Tenmost economically free countrie
I have coined a new word for the moderators...."Cutticism"......because you guys just cut and paste a statement...and then a one or two line criticism....without any explanation of how you get to your conclusions. ...Is this a "discussion board"...define discussion....or ....adve...

Re: USA no longrer of Top Tenmost economically free countrie
Just an outsider's opinion... but "it's all Bush's fault" right? "Obama's just been trying to fix the mess Bush created." But, I just don't get how multiplying your debt to infinity and beyond = fixing it... Actually...In the U.S. system....the Congress has...."the power of...

Jack Hectorman: If you invent an economic system that is better than capitalism, you will be a mega-billionaire and have enormous amounts of money to help the poor of the world and other causes about which you feel strongly. Re: Obama Would Veto Bill to Ban Taxpayer Abortion Funding
Since abortions are legal here in the U.S.....I am not surprised that they have taxpayer funding. I don't think I would have bombed and murdered the thousands of innocent children and people in the recent "State Funded" wars...either....for the sake of "national security"... We c...

Re: Time To Amend The U.S. Constitution?
Repenting of this failed document is easy for most thinking people. 1) Would anyone run a business by democracy? Of course not.... So, who ever thought that running a country with democracy was a good...PERMANENT.... idea? To all these well intentioned people that ascribe "Christian roots"...

Philip....your false assessments of my writing....are vain and pointless.....what do they accomplish? What is your purpose? You haven't backed up anything you say.......you continue to cut and paste...a whole post...and then give your false assessments. That I can prove are false. When I reply to yo...

....I guess Joseph's complete control over Egypt and it's grain.....would put him down at the bottom of this "freedom" list. I pray that all can see ....Success is not from having the right form of government or economic model....It's from having a Fear of Almighty God behind you and obeyi...

Re: USURY...The Forgotten Evil
JC, again, capitalism is NOT the problem. It's the people within the system that cause problems and become greedy. And so, in a society with a myriad of different spiritual beliefs, what is the supposed superior system that you would suggest? Capitalism has provided jobs, schools and lifted million...

Re: USURY...The Forgotten Evil
If usury was capped at 5%...and progressive real estate taxes were in place to curb real estate inflation, and everyone was paid in 1964 wages.....and we had a real economy that actually produced equitable results, we could see a lot more people being able to save up to $60,000+ ....and home prices ...
