Then on day 3 He made plants from what He created on day 1. Then on day 4 he made the sun and stars from what He created on day one and on day 5 He made fish and and the birds from what He created on day one then. Then on day 6 He made land animals from what He had already made on day one. Then on day 6 He after He made the animals He made man from the dust of the earth which was made on day one.
foaketom, welcome to the forum!

Yes, yours is a common interpretation of the creation passages. I am a believer in an OLD earth / universe (billions of years old). And despite all of the debates between old and young-earth creationists, what matters most is that the universe's existence requires a Creator, and that He created the universe, then man, separately from the animal kingdom (we are NOT evolved from animals, and that He has purpose in everything He's created. HOW long it took - and even debates of the physical processes involved, are all secondary in importance.

Taking a more scientific approach turning His energy into matter as subatomic particles protons and electrons which initially were too energetic to form molecules and atoms but an electron cooling
