What is the ACLU doing today

These people are quick to work to prohibit any expression of Christianity, but seem to have sympathy for Satan (it is an old article). Just thought it would be nice to have a spot to post what they are up to.

Two questions...why is the thread entitled "What the ACLU is up to today" when the article is from 2002?

But more importantly...do you have any links that talk about the case in greater detail? I can't even tell what the lawsuit is really about...is the town being sued because the local government paid for the sign with taxpayer money, or something else?

Ok Fair enough. When I came across that article I thought people might be interested. The article was what made me wonder what the ACLU is doing these days. Sorry, I would really like the purpose of the thread to be to post current actions by the ACLU that may be of interest to myself and others here.

AS to the "LAWsuit" concerning the proclomation, it never happened. Like everyone today the town was afraid of getting sued, so they removed it, but towns people put copies up on private property.

The problem is that their is no reason for the ACLU not to sue, they can threaten to sue, and sue without any worry about cost, because their is law in effect that requires that the Govt pay the fees for civil liberties lawsuits. So the ACLU may as well sue for any stupid reason it wants because it is a major source of income for them.

Again sorry for the confusion about posting the old article I would really like to here about things the aCLU is doing as they come along

Thanks, Ray, they do have a clear anti-American and Anti-Christian agenda.

The largest problem with the ACLU is the bad law that allows them to create an income stream by claiming civil rights violations about anything and everything and the Govt (you and me) is forced to pay for the attorney fees.

Good. I'm sure if you wait long enough they will have it changed enough so that all the christian foundations in it will be gone. Protect us from the God that the men who wrote our constitution prayed to for guidence and acknowledged in that document.

Now the ACLU, and those who support them are changing America. Sure pro-american, we love it so much we will change it into a good thing by eradicating long standing traditions and promoting an agenda that changes America into a different thing.
