The Return of the Old "gods" to America

Post by Stu »

A very thought provoking interview with Jonathan Cahn hosted by Steve Quayle on the Hagmann Report.

Basically he goes through how when Jesus died on the cross and Christianity started to spread, the small-g gods (fallen angels in disguise) started to disappear because of the power of Jesus' name and the Holy Spirit.

The mediums and leaders of the groups that worship these gods felt the power of the gods disappearing as the power of Jesus grew.

But, when a place that had once embraced Jesus and Christianity, then started to reject and move away from Him, that place would once again be filled with the old gods, and that is what has happened in the US and some places in the world. He goes through some of those gods and what they represent and how it is manifesting today.

The first discussion:

For those who's interest was piqued, a follow up discussion on Steve Quayle's website which I haven't watched yet:

Only when the blood runs and the shackles restrain, will the sheep then awake. When all is lost.

The Return of the Old "gods.

Are there any modern religious movements or individuals advocating for the revival of ancient polytheistic beliefs, and if so, how do they reconcile these practices with the dominant monotheistic religions of today?

Hello, Daniel, and welcome to Godandscience.org! I see you have posted a few other posts, but for some reason, they are not appearing after I approved them for posting. The last few days we've had a few technical issues with the site and our administrator is working to resolve them. But for now, I'll try to respond to what is actually showing up as a post.

Daniel, the polytheistic religions (past and present) worship a wide array of different gods. Religions like Hinduism and the mysticism religions do as well, just as did the ancient Romans and Greeks. So, nothing is new under the sun - and that includes whatever gods man may invent. These religions ALL are based upon belief without evidences that what they teach are true - even though some of their moral teaching may be similar to some things taught by Christianity, while many of their teachings are widely different from what the Bible teaches. These faiths worship false, man-made deities. A Bible-based take on these religions is that, while the "gods" themselves (of these religions) are false and non-existent, there most certainly are demonic and evil spiritual entities encouraging and manipulating belief in them, along with many practices that the TRUE God / Jesus / Holy Spirit of Christianity views as evil - particularly the worship of such so-called gods. NO monotheistic religion is compatible with polytheism, as by their very description, monotheistic religions only believe in ONE god. Christianity only believes in ONE God of three Persons (He's a Trinity of ONE) - the ONLY God that truly exists. The world's three largest monotheistic faiths are Christianity, Judaism and Islam.
