They were attempting to satisfy Muslim prayer requirements without disturbing people of other faiths or interfering with policies regarding religion.

It's never too late to be outraged. B.W.'s still fuming over the fall of Constantinople.

I do humor all the time. It just tends to have a serrated edge.

When Christians want to pray in school, the schools cry, "separation of church and state".

But when Muslims want to pray, they rearrange the schedule to accommodate them?

I guess maybe the double standard is because Christians don't chop people's heads off when they don't get their way.

Waaaaah!!!

But seriously, enough with that already. It's NOT TRUE!!!

Christian kids can pray at school pretty much whenever they feel like it. Kids can organize prayer groups at lunch if they get the urge. Christian teachers can legally teach a Bible study group to their students in their classrooms, provided that they don't do it during instructional time. Nobody banned prayer in school.

The thing that was banned was prayer led by teachers or administrators during instructional time. And guess what? Muslim prayers led by teachers or administrators during instructional time would also be illegal. There's no double standard, Rick.
But when Muslims want to pray, they rearrange the schedule to accommodate them?
Seems like you're being disingenuous, Rickster. The Muslim kids have the right to pray, same as the Christian and Jewish kids. The difference is that the Muslim kids are expected to prostrate themselves in the general direction of Mecca (lol, other peoples' religions r so dumb, amirite?).

So anyway, where should they pray? Back of the classroom? Parking lot? In the hallway between classes?

No need to answer that - it was rhetorical. I know that there is no right answer. The only thing that will satisfy conservative Christians is a ban on Muslim prayers, but that's unconstitutional so I guess there's no solution.
I guess maybe the double standard is because Christians don't chop people's heads off when they don't get their way.
Come on, Rick, you're better than that...

Nothing wrong with public schools having designated prayer rooms for different faiths.

You posted this for Rick, right?
Can't Students Pray in Public Schools Now?

Individual, silent, personal prayer never has and never could be outlawed in public schools. The courts have declared government-fostered prayers unconstitutional - those led, required, sanctioned, scheduled or suggested by officials.
So where does it say that a school cannot provide students with a place in which to voluntarily pray? And if it doesn't then what are you talking about?

Read the second half. Scheduled prayers are unconstitutional.

It's not rocket surgery.

If the kids want to schedule a time and/or place to pray they have the right to do so. There's no double standard.

Ed, seriously, did you read the link? The officials are who scheduled the places and times for prayer!
