The Doctrine of Purgatory

1. just because you rebuke it does not make it false, try to be more understanding
2. please stop looking at the little differances and look at the huge similarities, seriously we are all christians we all believe Jesus Christ is the Lord and what He did for us, why dont you consider lookin at the 2 commandments that Jesus added because thats what every type of chirstian is doing. (except JW and mormons and other cults that proclaim to be christian)

Matt 22:37-40. Jesus said to him," 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself'.

So please i know you love God very much but love your neighbor too because we are all children of God . In the least we should not squabble in arguments as such because we all have faith in the Lord; but we should speak about the Lord to people who have strayed from the path of truth and as hard as it is, pray and give it your best because your faith will save you in the end. All God wants us to do is believe in Him, love one another and speak and act in truth it is as simple as that.
God bless all but especially those close to us who have strayed from the path to God, for those are the souls who are in need.

That's an excellent post, one of the best I've ever read anywhere. It shows genuine Christian love.

The doctrine of purgatory is a hoax perpetuated by the ignorance of some early church fathers (e.g. Patristic Theology) and finally formalized under a Catholic church in dire need of reform at the beginning of a counter reformation at the Council of Trent. It's a hoax. If you're a Christian reading this, you're in purgatory... lol. After this, it's off to heaven. Do not pass go and do not collect $200.00.

Lol.. the Mormon church teaches you can take somone who has rejected Jesus Christ their entire life and died a non-believer and they can be saved and transported into heaven. The Catholics come close with their false doctrine of purgatory but the Mormons at least had the balls to take that line of heresy to its final conclusion.

The RCC doctrine of Purgatory makes Christs atoning work on the cross insufficient since Purgatory is to cleanse the Person of certain leftover sins to make him more suitable to enter Heaven. , whereas Christ on the cross paid for ALL sins from the smallest to the more heinous , and it takes HIS SHED BLOOD to cancel out sins ; not any 'cleansing flames' in a fanciful Purgatory . Thus, many Catholics are dying IN their sins when Christ himself warned against people dying in their sins (because THIS life is the only chance at getting them dealt with which is a prerequisite for eternal life in Heaven) . Ergo, the Purgatory doctrine can be classified as a very wrong and evil man -made teaching because it gives so many people a false hope. Further, it is interesting to consider how many RCC Masses (and financial donations) have been performed on behalf of the departed 'in purgatory' for their purgatorial stay to be shortened .
