That is the same lie that the snake told Eve. Also, that removes Jesus' importance, as He didn't have to die for our sins, we could do it ourselves I'm guessing? That also says we have no sin nature, as we can be good on our own.

I'm not even touching the 2nd statement, there's good stuff on this site that goes against that (such as the Jews, while beign attacked, killed, persecuted, etc... have been returned to the original spot God gave them...)(that being among the weakest argument compared to the rest).

Man did become like God. Man can not, however, become God. When Adam and Eve ate from the tree they became like God in that they knew the difference between good and evil. They became more knowledgable, but certainly did not/can not become God.
