Evolution 2.0 breaking the deadlock between Darwin and ID

Post by bippy123 »

I had studied perry marshals theories a while back and fir some reason I forgot about him.
He has come out with a new book called evolution 2.0

Here is his debate against perry Marshall .
Very interesting way of looking at evolution . What do you guys think ?

That is a long video dude and I can't stand Meyers, the man is an idiot.

Can you give me the gist of the argument?

Paul it was basically perry Marshall saying that evolution isn't random .it seems that perry refuses to brush up on his knowledge of evolution and until he does this theory won't help . They look good on paper in a vacuum but not against an evolutionary biologist . On Meyers would get demolished by Michael Behe who happens to believe in both evolution and intelligent design .

Didn't understand all of it, but seems like Marshall was thoroughly debunked. :-/

And that, brothers and sisters, is the kind of foolishness you get people who insist on denying biblical theism. A good illustration of any as the length people will go to avoid acknowledging basic truths.

Yea jac and it's sad to see because he simply refuses to prepare himself by researching the other side . It's as if he believes that his ideas exist in a vacuum untouched .

One should not have any real issues with randomness.
That the environment can affect us in what WE perceive is a random ( unplanned and unpredictable) way should not be a big deal or surprise to anyone.
The way I see it, it is just one more bit of evidence that actually does show some "design" in life.
That life CAN adapt, CAN evolve is, simply miraculous.

I don't see why there'd be an problems with "randomness" either. It's in every aspect of life, so why not biology, too? What's he working from, a Newtonian/Mechanistic (which is to say, deterministic) universe? Please. That's the real idea that undercuts theism.
