Sommerfeld's Constant and 137

Post by Philip »

Well, I never pondered the meaning of Hana's avatar, and so I geeked out on Sommerfeld's Constant:

Man,that Sommerfeld, he was kind of the "Geek's Geek!" My brain hurts just looking at those formulas! But my takeaway is that the universe is anything BUT random!

It should be noted that randomness in physics is NOT like "layman randomness".
In physics random can be attributed to the APPEARANCE of randomness and it typically attributed to something with "implied lack of pattern".

Will it pain the brain to consider that "seek and ye shall find" does not necessarily mean that there is anything there?
