I haven`t read it all yet but thought I`d post this as it looks pretty interesting!

There are a few issues with that.
1) the big bang does NOT mean creation out of nothing and science speculates that the event was a singularity that, for whatever reason, expanded.
And no, that doesn't disprove God of course and not even the bible because the bible doesn't give a creation account about the creation of the universe, merely our world.
For what it is worth though I do believe that the Big Ban leads us to the begining of God's creative process.

2) the Fine tuned for life argument has been countered in a few ways, the most convincing is NOT the the universe is fine tuned for life BUT that life is fine tuned for THIS universe.
Of course which ever way you look at it the imple fact is that there IS a fine tuning of sorts when, if the universe was indeed chaotic, random and purely of chance, there should be no reason for any "fine tuning" or and "goal orietendedness in life.

The thing is that none of those arguments ALONE lead to God and even ALL of them together tend to look like a "god of the gaps" argument.

Science has discovered physics laws behind our world.

Who/what is behind them? y:-?
But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.
-- 1 Thessalonians 5:21

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

Random chance...of course. :fryingpan:

Random chance? Such wonderful laws? Such symmetries? :shakehead:

Symmetry, schmymmetry! Design can be explained by random chance! :stirthepot:

It's such an incredible concept to think about; physical laws being created or always existing. It blows my mind; the complexity of them is just beyond reason.
Looking at every day objects and every day forces and being able to appreciate it/them and then to explain it/them is just such a gift! With such a gift available why would anybody study a soft science! ( woooo got a cheap jab in there, watch out for the left hook  )
