My other english "no-no" - people asking, "Where you AT?" or "Where you gonna be AT?"

A little irking: "I was born in the 1960's." Well, the 1960's WHAT? It's 1960s, people!

You know, there is a pet peeve thread that covers stuff like this ;)
:fyi:

Far out, you guys need to find something really worth feeling peeved at! Like um...someone telling you to find something really worth being peeved at

P.S since we are already off topic, where the heck did the word 'irked' come from? I started using it after someone else used it....who knew I had spent lots of times being 'irked'and I didnt even know it

Do we need to start a 'cruel grammar' thread? :P

It also says stick to one formula, so I choose no apostrophes. :)

That's probably good. You're easily confused.

And just for you, I used extra large apostrophes.

2 pages and 5 days later....I had no idea the reply "Thank-you" instead of "Thank you" would have led to all of this!

Doesn't the possessive apostrophe mean the years belonging to the 1960s, that is, 1960-69? That's how I rationalise the blatant stupidity anyway. :esmile:
