I love it when holier-than-thou, moralizing blowhards get ganked for their hypocritical behavior. Good riddance.

Bill exposed a lot of good things. But, as for him as a person, he is egotistical and very arrogant. And with so many women coming forward - remember, these people worked for a company in which most were more conservative - so, you can't just say these were liberal plants. And you don't just pay out 13 million smackers to people who have no real evidence - I can't imagine, if not guilty, that O'Reilly would have agreed to it. He would have said, "Put up or shut up!" And Roger Ailes apparently might have created a culture that certain people - if they were important enough - appeared to be like kids in a candy store. Notice, not a lot of ugly babes at Fox News - many, great-looking women on air. I think Bill is likely guilty - probably, but not with certainty. But if that stuff was going down, then they needed to clean house. There are many bright, interesting conservatives who could more than fill Bill's shoes. You just don't allow people with low morals to harm the message of conservatism challenges to uber liberalism, much less your company and brand. NO one person is above how their company's employees should be treated. Plus, Bill wasn't going to be around indefinitely, anyway - guy's 67 - he would have been gone in a few years, no matter.

Never liked O'Reilly's style of interrupting and talking over guests. Most of the time I wondered why he even invited a guest on the show.

Or when he'd mute a guest's mike and then berate them?

Classy, Bill.

Hanity does the same stuff - so annoying. Being aggressive and louder doesn't make your assertions any more true. But to be balanced, I see people of all political stripes ranting and raving, foaming at the mouth. Pity.

What is it with these rich, old, white men lately. They think because they have money, they can sexually harass women?

Women need respect!

I will say this last lady, "Hot Chocolate," her claims sounds pretty lame. Clearly, someone put her up to complaining - after so long after the fact. But the rest - he's probably guilty. The younger Murdocks realize that that FoxNews will always be defending O'Reilly over these past payoffs/allegations, and that there is a younger potential audience that they don't want to let one old guy cost the network viewers - particularly as the advertisers fled Bill. Advertising bucks is how media makes $$$.

Didn't one of the women making a claim previously date Anthony Weiner and now works at CNN?

Dunno. What I do know is that if you hold a strong hand with truth in it, you shouldn't fear mere allegations. You don't pay out millions for false, unprovable assertions. And even if the assertions are mostly false, and the one being accused has a provable and questionable immoral history - so embarrassing that they are willing to pay off to avoid humiliating facts coming out in a trial - well, I can see why he'd pay them off. It's why I think there's some truth behind these lawsuits. Probably.

*sigh* You're probably right. Bill was one of the good guys. He did do a lot of good for this country though, in my mind. But that doesn't justify being a cad.

It's upsetting because Bill is one of the people who turned me into the news junkie I am today. I would habitually watch him off an on for nearly a decade. I wish it weren't true.
