Obama's Dangerous $$$ Legacy!

Post by Philip »

No matter what some might find positive about Obama, surely they can't deny the horrific debt he's racked up:

http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/ter ... eeper-debt

And when he wasn't on a golf course locally, he was busy racking up an obscene, nearly $100 million in vacation costs:

I don't think most people realize the immense ramifications of his lack of financial concern. And I say this as also accusing George Bush, Jr. of stupidly getting us involved in nation-building and an 8-year civil war which was basically put on Uncle Sam's credit card!

It's obvious that none of that debt is the fault of Obama's administration.

It's all Dubya's fault. Obama inherited Dubya's problems. Obama did his best. He will go down in history as the best president ever.

Just look at his legacy...

All you neo cons can pound sand.

I was about to make a "Last Obama Rants" thread for people to say their piece and get a last word in on the Obama presidency, but I guess this will do, if you don't mind me deviating too far from the OP, Phillip

Who are you calling "God"? B. W. has attained "god" status around here.

Bush get over it. I did not like Bush 43. He brought humiliation and kowtowing into the GOP...

He had the chance to nail the liberal coffin shut but instead he began a new tone which your side, Eddy, exploited to the hilt.

Bush 43 was the best friend the progressives ever had... He supported H R Clinton so which side was he really on?

He supported stability over Trump. He was on the side of caution. That's a side issue, though.

My point to you, as always, is that your approach to understanding the world is stupid. You search for isolated incidents, amplify them way, way out of proportion, ad then wrongly claim that they're representative of whomever or whatever you're trying to defame at the moment (because whenever you have to choose between understanding something and attacking it you pick the latter). It's dumb, B.W. It's childish, dishonest, and detrimental to reasonable discourse. You're so locked into your toxic approach that you believe in your own straw men. It's no wonder you're constantly frothing at the mouth.

Back to the legacy of unfathomably immense debt at BO brought us.

I would say - generally speaking - that Democrats tend to not recognize the terrible danger of such enormous debt, as they aren't particularly concerned about it. Because if they were, they would have long been demanding their party submit a budget that requires us to live within our means, AND that we begin to take strong measures to begin to attack it - however slowly that might be.

Bush 43 used the excuse of a "war on terror" for his debt building - which translated, really meant: an unnecessary quagmire that could have been solved simply by surgically extracting Saddam and a few of his henchmen, and leaving a chastened Iraq largely intact. Course, the same mentality followed in Libya - take out the dictator so we can watch another civil war develop. ISIS is the result of removing dictators without an ability to long term stand in a gap. So our taxpaying dollars went towards making the world even more unsafe - how stupid is that???!!!

"You ain't seen nothin' yet"

I'll be very interested to see if the fiscal hawks in Congress will be willing to stand up against all the stimulus spending that Trump wants to put in place.
Trump's folks are already asking for the debt ceiling to be raised.
If Congress gives Trump everything he wants then Trump will make Obama look like Scrooge where spending and the National Debt are concerned.

What do you think the odds are that Republicans in Congress will threaten to shut down the Government to reign in Trump's overspending plans?

America reminds me of a fixed-income deadbeat, who has since disconnected the telephone because every other call is about this or that credit company trying to collect a fee which interferes with TV time.

Hard times are ahead for the US, and the longer you wait, the more painful the cure.
