I agree nicki....I have NEVER liked the games where you flat out murder someone....now self defense is another subject...i think if your playing a game and someone attacks you because of whatever reason is ...it is then ok to defend your self. however the battle turns out is dependent on the story...most often though it ends in a life lost.....i hate that....but it happens in real life as well.....sad fact of life i wish didn't exist....grand theft auto is an example of a type of game they have no business making in my opinion....its just ...its awful......i never really considered a game like dark souls, lego worlds, final fantasy to bad...all though final fantasy has "pretend" witch craft in them......I dont know about that one....which is why my copy of the newist one is sitting there.....im just not sure about it any more....

jven wrote:I own a ps3 and 4 and am trying to clean up my life. As such I have sold nearly every games that I own. What I now own is games like "dragon quest builders" "lego worlds" "hidden object games, castlevania lords of shadow...dark souls 3 (its a bit dark but i dont go around murdering people any thing i attack back is usually in self defense)...some robot games, a few final fantasy...most of them are "play through teh story" games....are these games wrong?

if i defeat a slime or demon ina game is it going to send me to hell doing this?

brian I KNOW you have seen heaven and hell and I don't know what to do....I dont play games like grand theft auto and i dont play games where you shoot people.....most of what i play is "fantasy" like zelda for instance...do i need to sell these?

I don't want to go to hell.........what has god told you about these games? in dragon quest you rebuild towns , im an engineering student i like building things both in real life and in games", is plying these e rated games or games that have monsters like rolls and goblins , usually enemys, going to send me to hell? Do i need to sell them? what about g rated movies or cartons?
Well, what I say about these games and other things is this:

A Born Again Christian has the Holy Spirit of the living God living on the inside of them...

+So why would a Christian want too...

+Give the Holy Spirit a bath in bourbon, beer, and booze, or anesthetize him with drugs?

+Why blow smoke in the face of the Holy Spirit with tobacco or weed or tobacco juice - think he likes that?

+If one watches porno or horror movies do you think the Holy Spirit shuts his eyes?

+Is He, the Holy Spirit, who is in you greater than he who is in the world?

+Do you think the Holy Spirit likes to be entertained by the devil by what we watch on TV or by the computer games we play?

Now, I would like for all Christians who read this to get this last point:

We as Christians have more in common with God than with the world; however, most live as having more in common with the world.

Jesus said in John 14:30,31 that Satan has nothing in him. We need to ask, what do we have in common with the devil? If we are more inclined to have more in common with the enemy of God, then there is a problem and answers why so many are weak in the church today.

i would like you and all Christians who read this to simply to begin to realize that we have more in common with the Lord now because we have been called out of darkness into his marvelous light and the the Lord who calls us is faithful to finishes the work within us. The more we awake to this, the more one stops blowing smoke in the face of the Holy Spirit etc.

So how much more do we have in common with the world, the devil, and the flesh than we to with the Lord? What has the devil have on us?

The Good news is that by the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ we now have more in common with Him. Our Christian journey focus' on us learning this reality so we can shine as lights to a lost world. We are debtors not to the flesh but to whom? Who saved us??

Next, comes the need to have our wounds in the heart healed so we can be free of what holds us captive to have more in common with the enemy than God and be free from the prison that binds so many too. The wounds n the heart affect the soul and keeps us enslaved to have more in common with the the flesh, world, and the devil.

The Holy Spirit is within us and He is greater than he who is in the world, so decide who you have more in common with and seek the Lord's help to overcome and be healed of the traumas and wounds that bind one to have more in common with the devil than with God.

Jesus paid the full price so that we can now have more in common with him than he who is in the world . He sent forth the Holy Spirit in our hearts to help discover the reality that we now have more in common with the Lord so think on this - that - our testimonies can win over those still in the world....

Thank you Brian. Thank you for answering. What you have said is EXACTLY why I have sold so many games lately. I have only been playing "builder and farm simulator" games here lately although they have some odd stuff in them. I am an engineering major, and being i cant build right now as i haven't finished the degree yet....i just kind of play a few build houses and stuff games....could be wrong i dunno..... another reason reason I guess is that well, I literally have nothing else to do besides reading my bible and praying, which i try to do every day. I am trying to get a job but it looks like i may not have gotten it....they said I was higher-ed but never called me back...who knows....I don't play too much of them but there are days where I do because I have nothing else going on. As for the statement about drugs....

So why would a Christian want too...

+Give the Holy Spirit a bath in bourbon, beer, and booze, or anesthetize him with drugs?

+Why blow smoke in the face of the Holy Spirit with tobacco or weed or tobacco juice - think he likes that?

no he doesn't and neither do i! I stopping this habit as fast as possible i did it for so long I get the jitters, and me being a nervous person doesn't help either. But god willing ill be done with this with in the month.

thank you again man....god bless you!!! :amen:

jven...

I battled with alcohol, weed and smoking for a long time before I finally quit. Offer it all up to God, pray for strength to quit, it can be done.
Good luck, you'll do it, and the fact you want to and you're doing positive things count for a lot.

Things like that can indeed be broken. Often it takes a little time and in the process the Lord reveals the cause or the wound of the heart that needs mending so one is finally rid of of it. So hang in there...

Try realizing that we as believers have more in common with Jesus than we do with the world, flesh, and the devil helps too...

Blessings
