Well, I`m not sure if I`m YEC, I kinda lean towards OEC but yes, I feel bad if I kill a spider, or a snail, or anything really and yes, I have said sorry to God for it, and the poor creature I killed.

I killed a big spider tonight. My wife, Mrs K, picked it up in a tissue and put it on the table. My boys picked it up, and she said it's leg moved a little. So she squished it, felt a little bad, and said "Sorry spider and God for killing your creature."
Which got me thinking, I wonder if any YECs have said such as a natural reaction.
Considering it is largely believed that Satan corrupted creation via deceiving us at the fall.
And from that, creation changed and biting spiders came about.
So, technically, a YEC might be kind of inconsistent if they believe such.
That is, feeling bad for killing a spider and apologising to God for killing His creature.
Because, such is well, would be kind of joint effort between God and Satan/sin creating the biting little bugger.

During the first summer I lived in Florida, I must've killed around 50 brown widow spiders. Most were around my pool, or in my garage.
And no, I didn't feel the least bit bad about it.

Rick, I've never heard of a brown widow - don't you mean Brown Recluse? Which I have never encountered, but know they are bad news. They cause the type of bites that the flesh around the bite just disintegrates. Black widows are very common, but I don't know that I've ever had one in the house. Garage and yard, yes. I worry more about copperhead snakes - all over my woods.
