For good reasons such as child porn, but as proven in Australian trials that is just the marketing gimmick and the government intends to filter much more. (a pro-life site for example was filtered)

no. i dont believe in national filters. Self-filtering if you want. But having the government protect you is crazy.
OK lets BAN everything because it OFFENDS US. If the world worked like that, in how many countries would religeon be banned? So its simple you have to fight censorship, theres no such thing as freedom if speech if you cant say f*** the government.
Thats what the "great firewall of china" is about, massive government censorship(that fails just as bad as the original great wall) and australia are following the same path, at the cost of their already slow internets speed. Yea slow down the internet with this godawful filter just to protect EVERYONE, dont trust parents to protect their children its the GUB'MENTS responsibility.
So there. I'm fine if its just you filtering your own system/networks but dont try and ask your government to filter your country because that my friends is what we call fascism.
PS. I dont perform any illigitimate activities on my computer. Nor do I have time to waste looking at filth.(i got plenty to read that though)
