If they had a social gospel in the days of the prodigal son, somebody would have given him a bed and a sandwich and he never would have gone home.

I also live under a little rock! 1/137's mastery of English impresses me, especially since she lives in Slobovia.

:fyi: Slavic languages tend to be considerably more complex than English.

By the way, what is Slobovia, never heard of it? y/:) y:-?
"Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces." Matthew 7:6

More complex? Yes! I studied Russian a long time ago.

Slobovia is a republic sandwiched between Upper Slobovia and Lower Slobovia. It is a generic name for any bizarre/unheard of, out-of-the-way place. One would never call the USA or France or Australia ''Slobovia'' but countries such as Burundi, Uzbekistan - and Croatia - would fit the description.

Out-of-the-way place? Wait a second... y=;

Zagreb, Croatia - Vienna, Austria 268 km
Zagreb, Croatia - Budapest, Hungary 301 km
Split, Croatia - Rome, Italy 370 km
Zagreb, Croatia - Munich, Germany 424 km
Zagreb, Croatia - Vaduz, Fürstentum Liechtenstein 517 km

Besides, I'm proud to point out that here in Croatia we regularly use electricity, plumbing, oil, and quite obviously, the Internet. So I'm afraid that you're mistaken with your description, my dear humourous Western colleague. :croc:
