I've seen a number of people who claim to believe earth is flat on religious videos across youtube. This trend seems to be increasing, and others have noted too. Anyone know why?

I think it fluctuates over time, increasing/decreasing for ? reasons, but no particular reason in itself.

Just a guess, but as YouTube becomes more available and more popular, there'll probably be more of every kind of video.

Rise in flat earthism
Which is technically known by the term, "Oliveoylism."

Why's that? Bc they're so fickle?

NO - it's because Olive has a figure that is the equivalent of a human ironing board - which has more curves than she does.

She's the mother icon of the Flat Earthers!

I think 99.999563% of flat-earthers are just doing it to be ironic, counter-culture, and just like to argue to be argumentative. Us normal people get so bent out of shape, and they're probably filled with mirth at our befuddlement over a denial of such a fact.

Nah, the ones I have come across are pretty serious about it.

Flat earthers now claim to have members all around the globe. :pound:

Not sure where I read that (recently) but I got a good chuckle out of it and figured I'd share.

Actually yes, especially since I was one and I'm surrounded by them.
BUT, young earthers have more reasoning and logic behind them, not to mention more support of Scripture than the flat earth idea (which probably has maybe 7 verses to support it, and most of that is just figure of speech).

All of them? And what is your point?

We're laughing at our brothers and sisters instead of trying to teach them rightly. I don't think all are Christians though.

Have you ever tried to "teach" a person who is a serious flat Earther?

There's no teaching some of them.
