FL's Sig

Post by Nessa »

FL,
I love the Corrie Ten Boom quote
How painfully true.

But the other one, do you really believe that?
I'd be interested to hear you expand your thoughts on it cos Im not sure I agree?
If they had a social gospel in the days of the prodigal son, somebody would have given him a bed and a sandwich and he never would have gone home
Also, this is open to anyone of course.

The quote is mostly a joke. It pokes fun at the belief among some Christians that we are building God's Kingdom on earth through our good works.

Don't read too much into it...and go make your husband a sandwich!

Hold everything lightly. If you don't, it will hurt when God pries your fingers loose as He takes it from you. -Corrie Ten Boom
