15 Myths of Bible Translations

Post by Philip »

Of course, there are many more such myths, but here's a nice listing of some of the most prominent ones - by Bible scholar Daniel B. Wallace: https://danielbwallace.com/2012/10/08/f ... anslation/

And here are five more myths noted by Wallace: https://danielbwallace.com/2012/12/28/f ... -the-text/

Wallace is professor of New Testament Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. He is also the founder and executive director of the Center for the Study of New Testament Manuscripts, the purpose of which is digitizing all known Greek manuscripts of the New Testament via digital photographs.

It would be interesting to see if anyone thought any of the myths were actually true?

I never understood the fascination and borderline idolatry with the KJV.
