ANOTHER Lost Gospel Book???!!!

Post by Philip »

Who actually reads this junk? (don't answer!): http://www.foxnews.com/science/2014/11/ ... -children/

And so here's one more book based upon ONE manuscript that is FIVE CENTURIES older than the eyewitness writings of the New Testament's authors. Oh, yeah, that's one to take seriously - while asserting that it's coded and hidden meanings are both decipherable and true. :shakehead:  :shakehead:  :shakehead:

Just like the many other things people conveniently believe in, if they are so determined, no facts or powerful counter-evidences will ever get in their way.

To present the facts to someone who doesn't want to hear them is to prolong the charade.

If they had a social gospel in the days of the prodigal son, somebody would have given him a bed and a sandwich and he never would have gone home.

Yup. And the challenge is to know when someone just needs time and continued Christian engagement and when to simply walk away. So often people spew fire and brimstone in their accusations against Christianity and its supposed lacking of factual basis and credibility when their real problem is in some way emotionally based. I guess one way to handle a person that just appears totally resistant and hostile is to, at least in some way, make sure they know that if they are ever DO become serious about seeking the truth of the matter, that you'll be more than willing to engage them. But, yeah, engaging nonsense and chasing rabbits is a total waste of time!
