Re: Immigration reform (for Byblos)

Anyone that comes in illegally should be deported back, unless they come from a war zone or avoiding persecution ( religious) Those that come under those circumstances should be monitored for at least one year and if they commit ANY crime during that period, are deported immediately. Immigration has...

Re: Anyone else horrified?

Ed,
Do you think the majority of the Democratic party would agree with that 1956 Republican party platform?

Re: Is salvation Given or is it earned?

This is why I question predestination. If Salvation given and not earned what’s the point You have to define predestination. Are people predestined to be saved? Or are those that believe, predestined for salvation ? The difference being the view that God has predestined people to be saved and other...

Re: Anyone else horrified?

What a mess you guys are in.
A President that doesn't shake the hand of the House Speaker and a House Speaker the tears apart a SOU speech on Live TV.

Wow...

No high road for anyone.

Re: Anyone else horrified?

The only thing that truly shocks me is that anyone is shocked but what ANY politician does anymore.
Trump simply wasn't smart enough ( or cared enough) to be discreet in the same way that every other president or politician has been when they do this "quid pro quo" crap.

Re: Quick answers about Bible

Jesus said don’t call anyone father but the father in heaven. Why other churches have being called pastors father. Why? Jesus even makes the explicit statement to "call no one your father but your Father in heaven"? Matthew 23:9 This is a direct statement to not call any one by the TITLE ...

Re: RTB: Serious Problems with Evolution

At the level of organism reproduction. If the organism reproduces, the new material is selected. If it doesn't, it isn't. What drives that reproduction? I find Michael behe’s natural selection and directed mutation . My stance has gradually grown more evolution friendly https://evolutionnews.org/20...

Re: Is God a Moral Monster?

Please read Paul Coplan's book titled, "Is God a Moral Monster".

Taken out of context, yes, some of the acts attributed to God MAY seem horrific and genocidal.
But I guess I can also be asked based on WHAT moral grounds one would say that? ( If morality is subjective as atheist say it is).

Re: Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit

I tend to agree, Paul. But although a guy like Erman may have once believed or even recognized who Christ actually is, I don't believe he ever submitted / committed himself to and invited Him in / received Him as their Lord - which is a saving faith. His was likely a belief in Christ like the devil...

Re: Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit

Any denial of Christ and God when we KNOW them to exist, is blasphemy. Anyone that bares false witness against God when they know God to exist and God to be GOD, is blasphemy. Paul states that ONLY by the HS can we proclaim that Jesus is Lord so anyone that KNOWS that and then denies or speaks again...

Re: Does Suicide = Hell ?

Is suicide an unforgivable sin? If so, where does the Bible state this to be so? No. Biblically there is only ONE unforgivable sin and that is to blasphemy the Holy Spirit. Which is the cause of much scrupulosity. Doesn't this 1 sin boil down to rejecting Christ? Sure, and denying God when you know...
