Re: How do you know prayer works?

:sbump: I've been thinking of this one in terms of my own children. If they ask me for stuff. Will I grant every request from them? Probably not. But I am more likely to do for them the things that are in their best interest and that which is according to my will. If they nag me persistently, there...

Re: Protestant v Catholic

As I get older im starting to reflect on my last 4 decades. Im trying to piece things together and make sense of it all. I definitely struggle with things on a daily basis. I do come from a religious background. Other things happened that started making me ask my own questions tho. I am dead set th...

Re: The world as Satan's kingdom

While Satan is the ruler of the WORLD - he's not the ruler of CHRISTIANS - as ultimately, he has no abilities that Believers are not given the Tool (Christ!) to resist him. People wrongly think the devil has power comparable to that of God. The devil's power is both loaned, limited, and restrained ...

Is Schizophrenia a form of Demonic Posession ?

We have a case here where a man says he is the second coming of Christ - just after running over and killing six people, injuring dozens more. He is diagnosed possibly as being schizo. Seems there may have been a fair bit of drug use involved as well. I don't think anyone in his "right" mi...

Re: The world as Satan's kingdom

Consider also the way in which the devil and his cohorts might play a part in regards to the way in which humanity comes back to the God the Father (as depicted in prodigal son). Does anyone reckon that he may actually be helping those, through suffering, trials and tribulations to finally come to t...

Re: The world as Satan's kingdom

Oh no, it's Armageddon :esurprised: "This is no ordinary War, to be judged and fought on the principles of the historic conflicts of the past. This war is Armageddon, or to use a common phrase, a totalitarian struggle waged not only by the force of Arms on earth, but carried on in full intensit...

Re: The world as Satan's kingdom

Why do certain Christians say the devil is the ruler of this world when God made this world? I read this on allot of forums. People seem to be under the belief this world is "Satan's Kingdom". It doesn't make any sense. Are there any scriptures to support this misconception? Good question...

Re: God's Ten Commandments? Still valid?

I enjoyed reading this (warren you still there ?). Here's a Quick Summary (short version): - There was a controversy that troubled the early New Testament church which was whether God required Gentile Christians to be circumcised and live according to the Law of Moses. - The position of some Jewish ...

Re: Is this church sign too offensive ?

I don't get it. I think the message is referring to people who get really angry. Those who get angry at someone, might be inclined to spit at them. So rather than spit at them, they should show forgiveness and swallow their spit (suck it up - so to speak). ...and then possibly, do something like &q...

Is this church sign too offensive ?

"Gold Coast church removes ‘X-rated’ sign" :) "While many thoughts quickly turned to sexual innuendo, church officials insisted the meaning was far more innocent and was imploring people to swallow negative thoughts rather than spit them out." https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/i...

Re: Richard Dawkins says...

Dawkins hates and resents God. He might claim not to believe God exists, but then nonetheless his contempt and hatred can be felt when he's discussing such, face-to-face with a believer or taking to his fellow non-believers. He may resent and have contempt, I am not sure because I don't know the ex...
