Re: Are only men meant to go into the military

Nobody should be in the military. That's it. Jesus spoke of love, love for the enemies aswell. Shooting them, killing them, is not part of it. A true pacifist! If there were no military, we'd all be speaking German, or we'd be worshiping Allah. So I'd ask, pacifism at what cost? And Ireland may hav...

Re: Have we crossed the line yet?

I agree with ED, pretty much on every topic brought up in this tread. I’m actually really glad he’s here and has stuck around. Regardless of religious beliefs, a clear, intelligent response needs to be acknowledged. As a vegan I’m a little shocked that PETA has been brought up in the same discussion...

Re: Homelessness being criminalized

Social justice is not a political plight nor is it religious. It’s decency and compassion. The vast majority of homeless have a mental illness. Those stats are irrefutable. The same in the US and in Australia. The most vulnerable of people are the most in harms way. In every way possible. They are m...

Re: Joel Osteen's annual church budget

If your style is self serving and reeks of greed then it’s doing a massive injustice to Christianity but more importantly to God. So why can’t a church or the CEO of one profit immensely? Because it serves one master. You cannot serve both money and God. If you’ve got enough left over to serve yours...

Re: I never knew you...

It’s quite a polarising difference of opinion here. A believer no matter how flawed is still a believer vs false believers really lack any real saving faith at all. It fundamentally is very different schools of thought on saving faith. I think we often try to see things as not divisive so we fall b...

Re: Would you accept an LGBT relative if they threatened you with an ultimatum?

Just recently in Australia we had a marriage equality vote. It caused division and a rift between two different camps of thought. (No pun intended lol). Felt quite personally in my own family. My cousin is gay and when her Dad my Uncle was posting on Facebook in disagreement to marriage equality thi...

Re: What is His name?

When Jesus was dying on the cross He said ‘it is finished’. This wasn’t a selfish proclamation, like I’m done here. It was the fulfilment of His purpose. Faultless, without Sin, like a lamb to the slaughter. The most powerful being to ever walk this earth, offered Himself as a sacrifice. He was beat...

No, I literally am abhorred by your comments. That you think it's alright to lock people up, give them a death sentence, for shining the light on "Muslims" grooming and rape young girls. I'll change your status. If you were offended, you should have said something from the get go. I'll as...

Actually while I’m at it, I’m going to say what every female member has thought but probably didn’t want to say. Especially because the premise of this post is apparently pro women. “Make me a sammich member” isn’t funny. Not even slightly. Whilst it may in some way compensate for your own lack of ...

I'm abhorred Mel by your take. Nothing more needs saying. K abhorred means to regard with disgust and hatred, so whilst I think that’s a little overboard each to their own. As an admin can I ask you to change my user status please. Just make it whatever is actually in place for any member with my n...
