Re: Immigration reform (for Byblos)

A woman and a man have sex and she gets pregnant. He wants the baby, she does not. She kills it, he has NO SAY in the matter even though he is responsible for creating that life. A man and a woman have sex, she gets pregnant, even though the man said that he doesn't want children. She decides to kee...

Re: Immigration reform (for Byblos)

There are TWO sides to this argument:
That CHOICE is the ONLY factor and as such ONLY the WOMAN can decide.
OR
Taking a life MUST be justified and simply CHOOSING to do so is NOT an option.

Re: Immigration reform (for Byblos)

Guys, you know how liberals sometimes question the sincerity of the anti-abortion movement's insistence that they're pro-life? It's because comments like "Keep your damn legs shut" and "If the only one to decide whether a child is born is the woman and no one else, then why would it ...

Re: Immigration reform (for Byblos)

Putting the responsibility squarely in women's laps with not even a hint of any mention of male responsibility whatsoever. That's my issue.
If the only one to decided wither a child is born is the woman and no one else, then why would it NOT be SOLELY her responsibility?

Re: Immigration reform (for Byblos)

IMO: An abortion is the taking of a life, this is a fact and one that is indisputable for obvious reasons. The law clearly states that the taking of a life is only permissible under certain justifications, such as: The protection of another life ( yours or the life of another). Punishment for a crim...

Re: Immigration reform (for Byblos)

Also, don't forget that slave owners NEVER viewed slaves as "people" or even human in some cases.

Re: Immigration reform (for Byblos)

It’s the same argument that justified slavery. The slave was the master’s property. The unborn baby is part of the woman’s body. The slave wasn’t viewed as human in the same sense that the white man was human. The unborn baby isn’t viewed as human in the same sense that the mother is human. Slavery...

Re: Immigration reform (for Byblos)

I don't understand the view that CHOICE supersedes Justification when it comes to taking a life. The whole, "It's a woman's body, she can do what she wants with it", is so illogical I can't even fathom that as ANY argument for ANYTHING ! It stops being JUST a woman's body the moment there ...

Re: WAS Nero the Beast written of in Revelation - or NOT?

So the heads that he cuts on the people who didn't want to listen. So if Nero was the beast who was the anti christ? Which one? As per the 1 Letter of John: Warning Concerning Antichrists 18 Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have...

Re: WAS Nero the Beast written of in Revelation - or NOT?

What I have noticed with apocalyptic writing ( Revelation and Daniel for example) is that, when it comes to interpreting ( certain)imagery concretely, the writer does that for us. It seems to me that symbolism is huge in revelatory visions. You had Stephen's before he was stoned ( as he was being st...

Re: Immigration reform (for Byblos)

For example, the legislature in Alabama passed a law in 2019 that made it a Class A felony to provide an abortion to a person who has been pregnant for more than 6 weeks, regardless of how she became pregnant. In other words, if a woman is raped and becomes pregnant, but doesn't find out for 6 week...

Re: Immigration reform (for Byblos)

If it was up to you what changes would you make and why? Everything I would want immigration reform to be is explicitly spelled out here: https://www.whitehouse.gov/articles/president-trumps-bold-immigration-plan-21st-century/ And for full disclosure, lest anyone dare accuse me of any type of discr...

Sign of the times: https://www.rt.com/op-ed/480530-ireland-germany-elections-establishment/ Shock election results in Germany and Ireland are signs of a political earthquake that rumbles on across Europe and with more polls penned in for this year, the voter upsets will roll on much to the dismay of...
