I'd be warey considering the person in question from what you've told does not appear patient enough to at least receive some theological education. The decision to obtain their own church seems rather hasty, and so it sounds they simply want their own reigns at the center of the pulpit, and they wa...

If you buy into everything you read by those who want to ofuscate the science behind Intelligent Designs as religious. You do know ID proponents reject being associated with religion or Creationists, and that places such as AiG don't agree with Intelligent Design for this very reason? (I can try dig...

I'm not sure I understand what you're getting at, nor whether it really matters? Today's culture in western society is obviously different to back then. What is it that you are using the judge the culture then as less moral than your westernised culture? I think this cuts to the heart of the matter....

Someone define stretchiness, I'm confused The heavens are literally stretching out at several times the speed of light. Galaxies move further and futher apart. This is the strechiness being spoken of. pages 45-46. He doesn't outright state one way or the other, but I think he implies it is an intri...

Re: Cosmological Constant/Big Bang/Stretchiness & God
What I could not do in my small group was to explain adequately why this "stretchiness" (as Ross and others describe it) was not left-over momentum from the Big Bang. Ahh, phrased that way makes better sense (the 'not' in your original question was quite confusing). I'm sure many believe ...

Re: Cosmological Constant and "Big Bang" Momentum
I am in a small group that is reading Hugh Ross' The Creator and the Cosmos. Today, several of the group (non-scientists) were asking why the "stretchiness" of the space-time fabric was not momentum from the Big Bang rather than an intrinsic property of space. The biologist (me) and the t...

Assume for the moment homosexuality was a genetic predisposition. Would this really make a difference to the moral responsibility of a Christian predisposed biologically to homosexuality, to refrain from their immoral fleshly desires? When I read Scripture, I see in Paul's words that we have an inhe...
