Evil?
What is this "evil" you speak of?

Re: Did Jesus really say we'd never know?

Lets also not forget Acts 1: The Ascension of Jesus (Mk 16:19–20; Lk 24:50–53) 6 So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, is this the time when you will restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 He replied, “It is not for you to know the times or periods that the Father has set by his own auth...

Re: Does Christianity Force its Religion Down Your Throat?

Outside of some fundamentalists extremists like those Westboro Baptists or the door-to-door work of the JW's, I fail to see anyone "forcing" Christianity on anyone else and even those two examples can't really be viewed as forcing anything really. PERHAPS one can view certain christian morals that t...

Re: Slavery and Bible

Since the vast majority of "evidence" that most atheists have against Christianity is from the net, it tends to be repeated over and over, no matter how many times it is disproven. Hitchens and Dawkin's views are also mentioned, no matter how many times their points are shown to be wrong. I hope tha...

Re: Leviticus 19:28 says Tatoos are a No No

As I mentioned on another thread, I have family members that are JW's and their whole notion of Grace is quite interesting.
Suffice to say that for many, the concept of salvation without being dependent works in incomprehensible.

Re: The Christian Walk - a personal testimony

Danny, can't you see that this is the answer to your prayers? You have been longing for a better and closer relationship with God. He has shown you how to draw closer to Him through privately praying and reading His word. Not from any public emotional experience. It is truly amazing how God works "...

Re: Stuff before marriage : /

Paul, you are at the end of the day just stubborn. Trying to justify our sins is not, and will never get us anywhere. Canuckster1127 wrote: I like what Bill Engvall said about this. Getting married just so you can have sex, is like buying an airline so you can get the packets of free peanuts. That ...

Re: The price of sin and the grace of God.

The only way to "kill God" is to declare God dead and to say that we don't need God, there never was a God and that it all bold down to US and there is nothing beyond Us.
We can't need something that doesn't exist, right?

Re: All People Given the Choice??

All will have the chance to repent. Except for those that have already made up their mind, those that have known God via the HS and have turn their backs on God thus "Blaspheming the HS". Those who die in that state, yes. But as long as one lives, one is able to repent and turn to God and will be w...

Re: The price of sin and the grace of God.

I view Our Sin in much the way Augustine did: Pride. THE SIN. Our pride makes us believe that we can be Gods, that we no longer need God and that we can "do it ourselves" even though history AND the very process of growth from infant to adult tells us otherwise. Satan is not our ruler, nor is he God...

Re: Stuff before marriage : /

What do you think Fornication is Paul? As I am sure you know, fornication in both the OT and the NT was applied to ANY illicit sexual act, not just pre-marital sex. Incest, bestiality, and in the OT man-on-man sex ( the OT never mentions lesbianism though Paul does, that spoiler sport :ewink: ). Po...

I think you may be missing the point, if we date to see if we are compatible in all other things, why should our sexuality be any different? Don't you (in general not to anyone in specific) think that by make such a huge deal about sex, that you ARE making such a HUGE deal about sex? Yes, it is vit...

Re: 2011 disasters

With the increase of population all over the world, there will be an increase of deaths during any natural disaster. With the increase ability of reporting on events we will be exposed to far more disasters than ever before. Does that mean there are MORE of them? Well, more compared to what? compar...
