Re: Open Science Discussin about GOD's Existence
BryanH, I suspect you're trying to make a point and not intending it, but the fact that you qualify that something is from your point of view, doesn't make telling someone they're presenting themselves at a childish level any less insulting or any less of an ad hominem attack. I don't see any other...

Re: Open Science Discussin about GOD's Existence
I do apologize for the brief pause I have taken... Had some issues to take care of. Evidently you didn't do any in-depth reading on the subject. - There could be multiple movers... No there cannot be multiple movers. There can only be one omnipotent creator for if there were multiple omnipotent crea...

Re: Open Science Discussin about GOD's Existence
Bryan, you fail yet again. In order for you to claim 3, you must first establish that a free moral agent MUST be able to choose 0 (evil). You haven't established that, it's just your wishful thinking. Mate, no offense, but are you sleeping or something? This whole discussion started from the fact t...

Re: Common fallacies that the apologist NEEDS to KNOW vol.1
False. The tomb of Jesus was guarded by highly trained Roman soldiers (World class, 1st rank military). If the Roman guards failed to secure the body from being stolen by ANYONE, they would have faced execution You are saying that in a corrupted roman empire those soldiers or someone else higher up...

Re: Problem of evil
I would never say we are born into sin...You just discovered our sin nature, which has been handed down from person to person.
We are born into sin, it has almost become natural for us.

Re: Problem of evil
Your question as to why there was a tree of knowledge of good and evil makes me ask you this: Why wouldn't there be one? Can one truly understand Good without knowing evil? The issue is NOT that there was a tree, it was why they ate of it when they had everything they needed and the person giving t...

Re: Open Science Discussin about GOD's Existence
And now we're back to the crux of the problem and this is why we've been recommending that you read Aquinas. Frankly speaking Aquinas' Five Ways establish beyond any doubt the existence of God and his Divine Simplicity establishes beyond any doubt the existence of the Christian God. Please read tho...

Re: Open Science Discussin about GOD's Existence
Where did you get the idea that The Devil is the total absence of God ? Byblos said that hell is pure evil(total absence of good). My POV: Therefore the total absence of God which is pure good. Satan is the symbol/ruler of Hell. Automatically he is the total lack of God. I was arguing against the f...

Re: Problem of evil
@PaulSacramento I just responded to Byblos on the other topic as well. Your point is correct and to be honest I can't argue that much against it. It sounds ok, but it is only an interpretation of the story in the Bible. You are using an interpretation that makes sense for you and I can't fault you f...

Re: Open Science Discussin about GOD's Existence
You're just going to have to forgive our snarkiness Bryan because, honestly, how many times do you expect us to go through this with you? 3, 4, 10 times, 100 times? It doesn't matter Byblos. You need to understand and accept that you might be wrong about some things. @Byblos How about if you think ...

Re: Problem of evil
I just copy pasted this from the other topic... @Ichtus I know what you mean with the heat example. That was a mistake from my part. Mainly when I talked about dichotomies, I was referring to the human personality and traits. @Now coming back to the original discussion 1) I did ask one question here...

Re: Open Science Discussin about GOD's Existence
He isn't interested in the answers. He chooses willfull ignorance. According to whom, master philosopher BryanH? Guys no offense, but your remarks are not worth that much... Since I have been on this forum I did ask some questions for which I didn't get any answers... You on the other side, and I a...

Re: Open Science Discussin about GOD's Existence
@Byblos
There is no such place as pure evil. Nothing can be outside god'S reach. That would imply a limited god. So hell can't exist outside of god so therefore hell can't be pure evil. It is illogical to say such a thing.

Re: Open Science Discussin about GOD's Existence
You fail because evil is most certainly NOT a property, it is precisely the complete lack of a property, i.e. pure love. You seriously need to get off this track of thinking if you want to argue in a rational manner with theists. So far you haven't. At least I am 'more' rational. If evil is the lac...

Re: Open Science Discussin about GOD's Existence
If a man invents a car , it goes from being a concept to an actual, before it was actual it did not exist, so conceptual ideas do not exist until actualised. Think about what your saying, your saying the car existed when it was only a concept, which we know is not logical. And before something beco...
