Re: Belief in the Trinity

It's a loaded question and here is why: If Jesus is NOT God how can he save ? How can He forgive? How can He redeem ? OK, we know from John 17:3, that the Father is the one true God. Verse 5 says the Messiah was before the world began, so He must be eternal. The Word who is God was made flesh, but ...

Belief in the Trinity

Have any of you heard that we must believe the Father is the one true God, the Son is the one true God and the Holy Spirit is the one true God to be saved??

Is there any domination of Christianity that teaches this?

Thanks.

Re: Why Did Jesus Say, "The Father Is Greater Than I" (John 14:28)?

Great video. Thank you. I posted it on another forum and got a lot of hits, but no comments. I'm dealing with a non-trin, who claims she was brought up Trinitarian. I have my doubts, or she had the worse teacher ever. She is completely out of control on this one. I picture her as foaming at the mout...

Re: Comma Johanneum, 1 John 5

The issue regarding 1 John 5:7-8 involves the textual difference between the Byzantine Text (Majority Text) and the Alexandrian Text (an older text family) Generally speaking the KJV represents the Byzantine Text while modern translations like the NASB represent the older Alexandrian Text We can se...

Re: Eusebius and baptism

Do any of you know if Eusebius stated a baptismal formula because I can't find one. Thank you. Yes he did in his letter to the Church of Cesarea regarding the Council of Nicea http://www.newadvent.org/fathers/2804.htm We believe in One God, the Father Almighty, the Maker of all things visible and i...

Eusebius and baptism

Was Eusebius a trinitarian? “With one word and voice He said to His disciples: “ Go, and make disciples of all nations in My Name, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you ,” — (Proof of the Gospel by Eusebius, Book III, ch 6, 132 (a), p. 152) “But while the disciples of J...

Re: Comma Johanneum, 1 John 5

Thanks guys. I am still working on this.

What is the earliest date of a NT manuscript that includes the Comma Johanneum.

My research so far says not before 1400AD.

Do you agree?

Thanks.

Comma Johanneum, 1 John 5

1 John 5: 5 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Messiah has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father also loves the one born of Him. 2 This is how we know that we love God’s children when we love God and obey[a] His commands. 3 For this is what love for God is: to keep His commands. N...

Deuteronomy 34:10

Deuteronomy 34:10 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB) 10 No prophet has arisen again in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face. This verses does not make sense to me. It was written shortly after Moses died. In the same book, Deuteronomy 18, it says: 15 “The Lord your God will raise u...

Do any of you have the NASB Study Bible

I'm looking for the NASB's commentary from the NASB Study Bible for the following verse:

Matthew 21:7New American Standard Bible (NASB)

7 and brought the donkey and the colt, and laid their coats on them; and He sat on [a]the coats.

Thanks.

Re: Is Jesus ruling now?

Yes Right now Jesus is in Heaven ruling at the right hand of God. In the future Jesus will return to earth and rule from earth. actually, Christ is now sitting at the right Hand of God. He will return later, and will rule earth when He returns. Jenna, Is that a literal seat Christ is sitting in? Do...
