Human or not human?
I heard a discussion on the radio where a man said that bigfeet, if they exist, might be human and thus should not be killed. Which would be a violation of God's law. I hope the following will not make me seem a wiseguy, or even funny. I'm really not trying to be thus. This talk of the possible huma...

Re: NBC Show "Awake"
Ivellious you are right. He would now have to take it on faith that one or the other is real. Presumably both seem real enough to be real. I have never felt, smelt, or tasted anything in a dream that was not actually in real life happening to me at the time. But maybe that is just me. AFAIAC he has ...

Re: NBC Show "Awake"
Bippy, I don't know what you mean by the wikipedia preview. I take it that it is something other the seeing the show. I wish you would at least watch the whole pilot on nbc.com. I imagine if a pagan came here and said he had no intention of reading the Bible because from wikipedia he got the impress...

NBC Show "Awake"
Has anybody seen "Awake?" I think it covers things indirectly relevant to here about faith and hard evidence for and against two contradictory faiths. I hope those who have not seen it will watch it on the NBC website. If anyone strongly cares I would like to discuss it with them.

The Truth
What if you know the truth but you cannot convince someone of it no matter how powerfully you assure them it's the truth and the consequences of them not accepting the truth would be truly hellacious for them and not so good for you?

Re: Is God All-Powerfull?
I think if I have any pretence of being intellectually honest or a Christian I should admit that http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omnipotence tends to bear you all out and I should have gone there or some place like it before bringing all this up.

Re: Is God All-Powerfull?
Kurieuo, why do you think you even know what is sense and nonsense? You seem to be getting God and Kurieuo a bit confused with each other. You have all the answers, so you think. I think I only have enough sense in this to know when an answer is no answer. You must realize how badly you contradict y...

Re: Is God All-Powerfull?
Byblos,we are talking about whether God is omnipotent. I never claimed to be. Are you implying I did?

Re: Is God All-Powerfull?
Kurieuo, you said: Omnipotence only imples the power to do anything that is logically possible. No Sale. So for example, God not being able to draw a square circle says nothing of His power because such is nonsense which is really nothing. There is no such thing as a square circle, at least on a 2D ...

Re: Is God All-Powerfull?
Kurieuo, if I understand what you said, I agree. However, somewhere, some people claim that God is all-powereful but there are things he cannot do. Even my preacher, a Godly man, a true believer, a good friend, but I am afraid a mental midget, claimed such if I understood him correctly. I tried to m...

How good a proof of God's existence is this?
Bill: "God must exist." Jill: "How do you know." Bill: "Because the Bible says so." Jill: "Why should I believe the Bible?" Bill: "Because the Bible was written by God." Is what Bill says all we really need to know on the subject of God's existence? ...

I'm an equal opportunity troublemaker
Once at least a lot of people got on me in one of these forums for how I expressed myself. See the Google group Atheism vs Christianity to see I am fair and balanced at the thread ''First Cause.'' If you look for it and cannot find it, or understand it, tell me. :ewink: There I am masterofthevieiled...

An objective moral standard outside of God.
Is there one? Do the great majority of Christians agree with you? Do you know scripture that supports your position? If so, can you tell me the book, chapter, and verse?
