Re: Is coming to Jesus and being saved simple?

When Jesus really has your heart, you change over time and follow him and his ways and his teachings from the bible. You endure trials, testing, and suffering. Go thru times of plenty and happiness ever growing closer to him never shaken by the good and bad times. You find yourself helping others a...

Re: Is coming to Jesus and being saved simple?

Is salvation simple - answer is -- NO. It takes a lifetime for some folks to be broken enough to surrender... Is salvation simple - answer is YES, as Jesus revealed about the sinner who prayed, "Have mercy on me, I am a sinner..." So, the salvation prayer is biblical and endorsed in red by...

Re: Billy Graham

I like watching him preach and many of his older messages are still valid for today. No one knows who God has in mind to raise up like Billy Graham or if there will be anymore at all. Graham also provided a moral voice which helped to hold in check the moral decay during his time here on earth. Afte...

Re: MAECs

Among those who believe that God created the earth there is disagreement as to how and when he did so. Some believe he created it in six literal days, just as the Bible says. They are known as young earth creationists or YECs. Others believe he created the earth gradually over millions of years and...

Could also the Chaldeans also refer to their demonic religion and sorcery - occult arts too?

How were the Chaldeans in Hab 1:5-6?

Question - whom are the Chaldeans Habakkuk spoke of and whom Paul quoted in Acts 13:40 which refers to the Chaldeans? Habakkuk 1:5-6, "Look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told. 6 For behold, I am raising up t...

Re: Luke 13:33

Just a word of caution... Usually people deny Christ's deity, not that he was actually a historical person who lived and died around 2000 years ago. Speaking with someone who denies history, you will probably have a hard time reasoning with him. Indeed, it is like trying to have a meaningful dialog...

Re: Was Jesus Tortured in hell for 3 days and 3 Nights?

Back to the subject. The doctrine that taught that Jesus was Tortured in hell for 3 days and 3 Nights was a development and twisting the old Ransom Theory that was popular way back around 200 - 600 ish AD where God paid a ransom to the devil so the devil would give up the souls of men. This develope...

Re: WAS dropping atom bombs on WWII Japan an immoral act?

Our discussion over when, in wartime, is it moral to kill enemy combatants, got me to thinking about the atom bombs dropped on civilian populations of Japan. Prior to dropping these, hundreds of thousands of Japanese civilians had already been killed by allied bombing. Japan still would not surrend...

Re: Why doesn't Judaism proselytize Judaism ?

Jews have long acted this way. Not sure why but I think it is to reduce corruption. Back in the day it made more sense as a number of Christians and other groups were against them. True... and I add in more below... Basically if they tried to proselytize Judaism they would have been sent to firing ...
