Re: Is being an atheist irrational?

Points to consider: If God broke his word and cannot have it come to pass, then he is not omnipotent omniscient being. The key to understanding the origin of evil is that it seeks to prove that God cannot be true to his own characteristics by attempting to play God's own characteristics against eac...

Re: Is being an atheist irrational?

Now, do you mean that "With the exception of the first act of creation..." the act of creation is (also) not real in the materialist universe? I.e. not happened? y:-? Where did the material come from that made all the entire universe? I don't know. How do you expect me to explain it? Do I...

Re: The Left Coast Eco Freaks

LA has a set of geological features and weather patterns that seem to make the perfect storm for persistent smog. To be fair - all the joking about CA environmental whacko jokes aside - the terrain and forces of the surrounding mountain ranges, they stack the deck against certain parts of CA - part...

Re: Is being an atheist irrational?

As B.W. wrote: To answer that, God remains true in the absolute sense to all that he is, all his character traits, nature, words, promises, gifts, callings, etc without and shadow of turning. He keeps his word and promises... Therefore, if he cannot keep his word, then how can he remain God? He gav...

Re: Is being an atheist irrational?

There is no 'true evidence', for any humans point of view regarding our origin (existence?) (And many other things too). Only assumptions and opinions (and fuzzy feelings). What is deemed rational seems to depend on what one believes. Both can be rational whithin their own boundaries. I didn't writ...

Re: The Left Coast Eco Freaks

Ed: So you're saying that they have a point and should keep working hard to protect the environment (and the people who live in it) from air pollution? Ed, it's merely a case of how surprising, as a state so environmentally conscious, that it has such severe pollution problems. I would think bad po...

Re: The worst apologist in the world

Thats what I feel like today... Im sure I made all of heaven cringe :econfused: I met a new co worker at work today and we got onto some spiritual matters. I could hear myself talking and thought [poop], I sound like I'm from some weird, vague cult Shes writing a book on her journey. I only managed...

Re: If antidepressant commericals were honest...

If antidepressant commercials were honest...??? :pound: :pound: :pound: On a more serious note most of these meds are refashioned to be kept and classed as new drugs in order to charge high prices before they go generic. It is the industry that does not act honestly... They want more folks on these ...

Re: Judgement after death

Since God placed eternity in our hearts, when one dies in that state, they remain so as they will never change, no matter what. - As a side thought, when babies, fetuses, handicapped people, etc, are in heaven, they stay the same? How will they serve God? God who made the lame to walk and the blind...

Re: Is being an atheist irrational?

Tell me, Hortator, does God in his omnipotent omniscience know the future? Did Jesus, as the son of God, 'know' his future? Yep. Then what is the point in doing something of which you know the outcome in advance? Why put your own son through such a painfully and agonizing ordeal, to know that human...

Re: Jehovah witnesses

Despite what trinity deniars claim the scriptures they quote to try to claim Jesus Christ is not God have no scriptures that claim that. There is no scripture that they can quote that says Jesus is not God despite them claiming it to be true.It is their own opinion.Yet we who accept the trinity act...

Re: Judgement after death

I'm having a hard time reconciling the finality of a souls' state after death. Does this mean a soul will not 'evolve', for lack of a better word, once it has been molded through this life (with or without Him)? As a side note, it would harmonize with why angels fall for eternity. Makes me think of...
