Re: "Natural" Evil

I was recently in a "debate" with several atheist's all shouting out loud in objection to my faith. I seem to get into these elephant hurling situations and get extremely overwhelmed and unable to answer any of their belligerent questions. One of the questions I was asked was, "Where...

Re: A few questions about astrology

I cant very well say unless I see the astrological chart he would have drawn to predict this, but here it is what I wanted to show you...look he is not sure, he said either he will be caught or he will kill another victim. now apparently it looks as though the astrologer knows the fate of the serial...

Re: Apologetics list project

For Christian Theism Ontological argument: Since people can think up the concept of God and God is the greatest possible concept that human beings can think of, therefore God exists. Moral argument: Because most people over the years hold to some kind of moral law and because nearly every culture ho...

Re: Hell Question

Drakengold, thank you for your reply, i understand now completely what you meant. i think Canuckster1127 nailed it right to the point. Calvinism is often described as a "room without a door or window". those who are in, can not get out, those who are out can not get in. but the profound pr...

Re: "I preached against homosexuality, but I was wrong"

by PaulSacramento » Fri Apr 01, 2011 7:04 pm First off, lets us remember that there is only ONE sin that is "unforgivable" and that is sinning against the holy spirit. Homosexuality is NOT such a sin. Though one can possibly argue that to profess to have the HS AND being a homosexual is j...

Re: Authors of the New Testament

I don;t think that Bart is trying to prove the bible to be a lie, just trying to show that it isn't inerrant, which is irrelevant to those that never viewed it as such and take the bible for what it is and what it isn't. I think Bart is trying to show that putting all your confidence and faith in t...

Re: A few questions about astrology

I haven't been much into astrology, but from what I know, yes the signs and prediction do tend to be true sometimes...not always. Just like palmistry. It is a separate question though, who is predicting what? since all the astrological prediction tend to be vague without specifics. But honestly you ...

Re: How to have a spiritual experience?

had thought I had spiritual experiences before, when my spine tingles, and I thought I received signs from God. The messages were His telling me He exists, and to no longer seek His signs. But I always disobeyed and sought more signs. It led to me becoming psychotic, and I had to take medications. ...

Re: Hell Question

by drakengold » Fri Apr 01, 2011 7:52 am I had always thought that whoever ends up in hell, aren't there by mistake, that they deserve it. So, it makes sense hell isn't a torture chamber. Because why should people deserve everlasting suffering not for being evil, but just for not being a Christian....

Re: Authors of the New Testament

Every religion that has ever existed has some kind of human influence in its doctrines. it has to be. just like religion and religious practices are influenced by us and vice versa. so for that matter yes history has a lot of color on Christianity. But people like the author of the book mentioned is...

Re: Was Adam the first human?

hmm guys...i thought "Adam" meant ""red earth"?

And I do agree that Adam is not symbolic alone.
“The Scriptures tell us, ‘The first man, Adam, became a living person.’
I think if Adam is the first man, he would be the first man in recorded history of the Bible.

Re: Abused, Raped, Tortured, Killed - what good can be taken

1. God loves all human, where is God love for her? 2. Is anything good can be taken from her experience? 3. Is it her fault if something like this happen to her and how will she able to say God has plan for her? 4. If she is christian, will God allow things like this to happen to her? since God say...

Re: "I preached against homosexuality, but I was wrong"

I have a cousin, he is gay and only I know that, the thing is he is just 18. and he was not gay until one of his school teacher molested him when he was just 10 yrs old. He came to me an year ago and cried and told me the whole story . The interesting thing is, he fell in love with a girl some month...

Re: Was Adam the first human?

I know this has been discussed many times before. If there were humans pre-existing before God created Adam, would the existence of those humans, make the atonement of Christ meaningless? Is it possible to make a case BIBLICALLY that people(maybe with or without a spiritual part to them)may have be...

So, how can some guys say Jesus is not in the eucharist? Well, technically, Jesus doesn't have to be literally in the Eucharist, it was done in his remembrance and signified the cross on which he was about to offer his body and blood. to me if the bread and wine remains bread and wine and not trans...
