Re: 'People are Basically Good' 2 broken links

People are basically good, that is why the majority do not commit crimes ( simplification, I know), that said, can I ask you this?
Do you lock your doors at night or when you are not home?

Re: LGBTQ

No, the relationships created by the bisexual bond helped them as warriors ( emotional attachment in the senior/junior relationship) BUT it compromised the family unit and allowed the slave population to thrive and, well, the empire collapsed. Compromised the family unit? How so? Sure, Spartan fami...

Re: How can God know everything and let us have free will?

Free will is about making a choice, it doesn't even matter what motivates the choice really, it is the simple acting of choose A over B. How can God know everything and let us have free will? First, God innately knows, there is not process by which God gains His knowledge. To answer the question in...

Re: God as a big black woman

Watched the movie, and it wasn't all that bad. Tackled some tough issues in a rather inventive way, perhaps even ingenius way. Whether or not it passed I suppose would be up to the viewer. There were many apologetical themes I've heard dealing with the problem of evil throughout. Re: Universalism, ...

Re: LGBTQ

Who said it didn't work in Sparta? History. It contributed to their success for a long time, and it didn't contribute to their decline. I'd call that working. No, the relationships created by the bisexual bond helped them as warriors ( emotional attachment in the senior/junior relationship) BUT it ...

Re: LGBTQ

One can argue, from a scientific and biological ( evolutionary) perspective that, bisexuality is a evolutionary advantage. Advantage? How so? From the evolutionary viewpoint, bisexuality improves one chances of survival, two "mates" instead of one for example, with one mate being the prot...

Re: LGBTQ

An example is how women and men can appreciate the same sex, how they can see the beauty and attractiveness in their own gender. The running joke of a man secure in his sexuality can see the sex appeal of another man isn't really a joke but a very valid point. While I have no sexual desire towards a...

Re: The meaning of 'Abba' in the bible

Abba is just an affectionate way of saying Father. It doesn't mean or needs to be translated other than Father as long as a person understands that it is a more familiar and loving way to say it. Sure, in terms of English, we don't have those distinctions and because of that we look for words to con...

Re: Personhood as it relates to Abortion?

Abortion is wrong because it terminates a life, period. And as to what constituents life, NASA and science have already established that 100%: When NASA looks for evidence of life on another planet, even proof of a single celled organism is proof of life. https://www.nature.com/scitable/topicpage/wh...

Re: LGBTQ

Again, I think you may be confusing Bisexuality with Homosexuality. There is no reason to ASSUME that societies in which there was sexual activity between everyone ( men with men and men with women, women with women and women with men) were homosexuals and NOT bisexuals since the historical evidence...

Re: Realistic Expectations for What The Shroud Can Tell Us

At the most, right now, all science can show us is the various process that DIDN'T put the image there and perhaps some that COULD have with TODAY's technology. Some process have come very close to the majority of the characteristics BUT none of them could have been used by some medieval artist. In ...
