Those damn romish catholics, it behooves us to shed every doctrine they invented. The only way to preserve Christianity is to reinvent it.

Re: Genesis 9:5

Mammals for example. And certain birds. If you've ever had a dog for example, you know dogs have a mind, will and emotions. As to whether animals go to heaven, I really don't know. But the new heavens and new earth? Why couldn't there be animals there. The soul is that which animates the body. Any ...

I'm not sure whether to feel insulted or complimented. Probably a little of both.

Re: Genesis 9:5

At risk of sounding pedantic, a soul is the mind, will, and emotions of certain creatures. And certain animals do have souls. Anyone with a dog, knows that. I think you may be conflating soul, with spirit. Humans are the only creatures with a spirit. Only certain animals? How do you know this? Do a...

Re: Evolving from Simple to Complex?

The obvious question I would have for you, is do you believe in the virgin birth of Christ, and his resurrection, which are both New Testament miracles? Yes, I thought you might. The answer, as I wriggled away with just now, is that I don't know. In several circumstances we have an undisputed befor...

Re: Genesis 9:5

How does an animal give account to God for killing a person? So far two answers seem possible-God will kill that animal, or there will be a sort of day or reckoning in the animal's afterlife, if they even have one. Do animals go to hell? I don't think they do, they seem to be in the same group like...

Re: Evolving from Simple to Complex?

From simple to complex is a fact, not only in recent biological evolutionary processes (and yes, they are considered recent in the grand scheme of things) ... One fact that just isn't true, or scientifically supported today. My opening post I believe showed that with strong evidence contradicting s...

Re: Evolving from Simple to Complex?

It says as much about a 'creator god' as the god of the gaps argument says about a creator god. From simple to complex is a fact, not only in recent biological evolutionary processes (and yes, they are considered recent in the grand scheme of things), but also in astro-physical/chemical evolutionary...

Re: Calling All Geeks: "How do I ... ?" Etc.

There's a lot of smart people on this forum, and there are a lot of technically challenged, like I sometimes am. So, I thought I'd start a thread to ask questions that other might be able to help with. Question: How do I turn off the stupid auto-correct - both on a PC and on a tablet? I tried some ...

Re: Shroud of Turin - Summary of Evidence for its Authenticity

Yes, you could indeed look at the videos Kurieou links to in the OP, but do please also read my reviews of them. If you want some kind of balance, that is. If not, then by all means ignore what I've written. Lots of people do! I certainly don't ignore what you've written. I've read your posts with ...

Re: Greatest comeback in Superbowl history!!!

I don't understand why there's even a rule about how much the regular balls have to be inflated. Why not just let every QB decide for himself? That's the definition of fair. Having them really hard gives an arbitrary advantage to the guys who like to throw a harder football. That's silly, especiall...

Re: What's your favorite kind of play?

So I started working with kids about a month ago, and I realized just today that I haven't been playful enough -- too much hanging back and trying to defend what's fair rather than getting into the thick of things to entertain directly. So as I was playing more with the kids, it made me wonder what...

Re: Shroud of Turin - Summary of Evidence for its Authenticity

Hugh I have already viewed videos on their repairs . I have a super hard time believing that you could have missed this .i won't ever say this to you out loud but I have a deep resist for your massive knowledge on the shroud but I can't help but feel there could be a subconscious bias in there some...
