Re: Limited Free Will

I am going to ask that you try a quick exercise.
Take a few moments to do this.
Close your eyes and relax.
At some point you will have a thought.
When you do ask yourself when did you decide to have this thought?

After making a conclusion, wouldn't you want to design experiments to test the conclusion?

Re: Questions for Theistic Evolutionists

Why would God provide an allegory instead of going into detail... One needs to understand that the more systematic scientific way of thinking people possess now is a recent phenomenon. The state of the human psyche back then was more likely to assign meaning to coincidences, more prone to superstit...

Re: Hypostatic Union explanation

In each of us resides the self of the past the current and the self of the future. Often these selves are in conflict with one another. If you stop to dwell on it you may never be able to resolve these entities logically yet one knows that they exist in one body. Logic and reason may allow one to u...

Re: Will the world ever agree on Einstein's ~religion~?

Your idea is that an individual is only good at what they are known for and therefore have nothing to contribute in other areas. That is what she is pointing out Wrong on all counts. I said that Einstein was a physicist, not a theologian, and that his ideas on God, auto mechanics and cooking were o...

Re: Neil degrassi Tyson now believes simulated universe highly likely

It's a simple logical thought experiment. If it is possible to simulate the universe, then it is likely that this was done more than once. One can then also assume that multiple simulations would exist within each simulation. And since simulations would effectively vastly outnumber the real universe...

Re: Will the world ever agree on Einstein's ~religion~?

Ok crackpot I will demonstrate below original quote Einstein was a physicist. He knew about physics. His thoughts on God or auto mechanics or cooking are likely on the same level as mine on these subjects: simple and largely ignorant. That people care about what Einstein said on subjects besides phy...

Speaking of fishing, you is thrashing about like a foul hooked alligator to get out of the clear implications of what you said:. Dear groupie, I'm sorry I insulted your Guru. Please accept my apology! I'm sure Einstein had lots of intelligent insight on God, auto mechanics and fine cuisine. Einstei...

Re: Why is there a conflict between religion and science?

OK but its a waste of time when we already know. We've known for thousands of years all dogs are related to wolves, even Darwin knew it and is a big reason why he assumed life evolves based on this knowledge man has had for thousands of years. Even the ancient Greeks knew dogs came from wolves,so wh...
