Re: The Amazing Atheist
Why? Simply, why? Why why why? How can anybody ever say that religion has done nothing good for society? For humanity? For anything? Of course, with this reply, I actually do not believe that anything or anyone will be changed, as people (science has asserted) are in fact chemically bound to their ...

Re: This may not be any of my business, but...
Well, we really must remember that many of the laws given were in cultural context. God didn't want the Jews to join with the rituals of their pagan neighbors, and didn't want them to defile their bodies. Tatoos were one of the ways those nations celebrated their cults, and still today tatoos often ...

Re: Homosexuality and destroying faith
Homosexuality is a complicated issue, however, it can be approached much like others. Let me start here. The bible, and especially the gospels, makes it clear that sexual relations are a very unique form of bond. They join two people together to form "one flesh", it says, and represents sy...

Re: abortion
Look... from the moment an egg is fertilized, a baby is alive. It grows and multiplies its cells from within the womb of the mother, and is NOT part of the mother's body. The baby gets nourishment and shelter from the mother, and that is it. Such is true even after the baby is born, usually he or sh...

Re: Is Salvation available to Fallen Angels? Why or why not?
Angels are immortal beings; because they can be without sin they do not need to be saved. If an angel does sin, it is because they have denied God. Fallen angels cannot be saved because they are immortal beings that could have been without sin, but instead chose to eternally fight God. Man, however,...

Re: The Human Eye- design flaws?
Think of it this way: we really do not know the way the brain works exactly, it is far too complicated. However, maybe the world being right-side-up or up-side-down is just our perception. Perhaps we are so used to the world being thought of as right-side-up that we don't know the difference. Let me...

Re: Sign from God?
"God works in mysterious ways". It is entirely possible that it had been "set up" that way by God for your questions to be answered, although, I think, ultimately any questions you may have had would have been settled one way or another... time is such a relative and unimportant ...

Re: A few general questions about the end times
Revelation (and prophetic verses in other books) is among the most controversial topics in history. The clues are so vague, usually metaphorical or in code, that it is almost impossible for any one person to find the "true" interpretation of it. However, here are a few ideas that I believe...

Re: A few general questions about the end times
Well, Christ said that nobody knew when his day would come (Matthew 24:36), so any "on date predictions" are most likely false. Yes, that means that the 2012 theory is not true.
