I think its just an illustration of God's grace. Giving us what we don't deserve. However, the system is fair, since the labourers were given the agreed wages. Since God's system of rewards is different from ours we should just agree with Apostle Paul - We cannot understand the richness of His grace.

Psalm 90:2, Ephesians 2:10 Though I'm not convinced this is entirely true, I'm inclined to think of God's time like this: God is not outside of time, rather, time is contained in God. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He cannot jump about to future and past as some have suggested. He cann...

Also interesting to note that Jesus' teaching on hell was directed mostly to his disciples. I can't think of a worse pain than having an unperishable body being burned for ever. Its just the opposite effect to having the glorified body dwell in the new creation. Its a sober reminder that God remains...

Brian Jesus Christ has overcome the world for you and He has promised that you will not be tempted beyond what you can bear. Following on from the advice given above, would it be possible for you to take some time out on your own? Maybe some type of city slicking to get in touch with your spirit and...

The 'ruthless' dictators are only previews of the real Antichrist. While the others can be seen as outright bad guys, the real one will seem like a nice guy to the ignorant eye. Only Christians will see his true colours. Remember, the term itself means that he will present himself as the saviour of ...

Another example of near and far fulfillment of prophecy I came across this morning. Ezekiel's lament for the king of Tyre in Chapters 26 and 28. This was fulfilled by Alexander the great in 332BC. It's also a poetic description of the fall of Satan.

On a theoretical level, based on the pattern set by Apostle Paul, you can witness in three ways: 1) Word - what you tell them (most common in western churches). 2) Deed - by your lifestyle (suggested for wives of unbelievers) 3) Sign - Miracles and healings (common for frontline evangelists) However...

Micah 5 makes sense to me as a prophecy for the Millenial Kingdom of Christ . Can you explain that to me? I don't think that I have ever heard of the "millenial kingdom of christ." Read Revelation 19, 20 and 21 in one sitting. BB from the website: http://www.enduringword.com/commentaries/2307.htm T...

God threatened Adam with death, so it follows that he knew what it was. Well a rabbit could still fall off a cliff or whatever - you don't need to be killed in order to die, so maybe Adam knew death from that. Bunny still died. Animals could not eat of the tree of life. The decomposing bacteria wer...

God choses and we persevere with the choices we make with our freewill. I believe both can exist simultaneously. (A combination of Calvinistic and Arminian outlooks).

God will save everyone who comes to Him through faith in Jesus. Not being sure of this is just the devil trying to mess with the mind.

Yes, why not? They are really good exhortations on 'cause and effect'.
The problem with Job's friends is that they were ignorant and claimed to speak on behalf of God. So, their error was false prophecy.

The Isaiah prophecy - The conception by a virgin was a sign for the people to show that 'God is with us '. Can't locate the source, but I have read that that prophecy was fulfilled during Isaiah's time. Also, the birth of Jesus was another sign that God was on the side of His people. Micah 5 makes s...
