Re: Minister denies wedding

Guys, The church didn't cancel the wedding of a gay couple. They canceled the wedding of a heterosexual couple who voiced their support for gay marriage on Facebook. The pastor/priest/whatever, wasn't in a situation where he felt it was morally wrong for him to marry a specific couple because of the...

Thank goodness, it was all an "honest" misunderstanding. I'm glad I found out just in time to pull the eBay listings for all of my worldly possessions. Doomsday is not on Saturday after all, writer says after predicting end of the world http://www.foxnews.com/world/2017/09/22/doomsday-is-n...

Re: Euthanasia for Unbearable Mental Illnesses

Euthanasia performed on "terminal" patients, is playing God. I get where Rick is coming from - I mean, so many just want to do what is expedient/convenient, and then that takes the place of the ethics of it. But if a person is on a respirator, unconscious, and the only thing keeping that ...

Re: The meaning of immaterial life

Materialistic people MUST see everything as subjective. I think to stay consistent in a materialistic worldview, they can see certain concepts as objective. Or, as in Kenny's case, they can see certain things like child rape, as objectively wrong, but not know how to reconcile that with their subje...

Re: Minister denies wedding

What's ironic is a marriage is a state sanctioned licence, registered by the attorney general under births, deaths and marriages. A state endorsed and sanctioned union. It's can be by choice performed by a religious minister but falls under the legislative guidelines of the state. The irony is in r...

Terminal isn't always terminal. And it is subjective to the doctor. If terminal were objective, nobody with a terminal disease/illness would survive. Euthanasia performed on "terminal" patients, is playing God. https://www.google.com/amp/dailysignal.com/2015/05/18/assisted-suicide-how-one-...

I get it Rick, But somewhere there has to be protection against stupidity even under the guise of freedom of speech or freedom of religion. Those terms are not a blanket disclaimer of all things idiotic waved under a banner of freedom of religion or speech. I think when Clergy start trawling throug...

Re: Euthanasia for Unbearable Mental Illnesses

This is suppose to be in relation to unbearable mental illness... I think that was addressed quite early that if a patient is terminal, that is one thing BUT if the patient is NOT terminal that euthanasia is wrong. It is a very emotional situation of course, but what is "unbearable"? The ...
