Re: Were the Nephilim and the Sumerian mythical kings somehow related?

I say, that scripture, when referring to "sons of God" as angels/ divine beings, NEVER refers to the ones who have fallen. And I have yet to see anyone show me otherwise, from scripture. Fair enough. Not sure why it would matter, I mean, there is no explicit mention of fallen angels anywh...

Re: Were the Nephilim and the Sumerian mythical kings somehow related?

Yes, I would agree with that. I would agree that the divine beings /angels that sinned and were imprisoned ( Jude and Peter) would be considered "fallen". That the divine beings to be judged for their "maladministration" of the nations, would be "fallen". That The Devi...

Re: Were the Nephilim and the Sumerian mythical kings somehow related?

Is the term translated as "sons of God" in Genesis 6, even used in Psalms 82? If not, why is Psalms 82 even being discussed? Why is Psalms 82 relevant to the argument that "sons of God" can possibly mean fallen angels? Fair enough, we kind of went out on a tangent. I think it wa...

Re: Were the Nephilim and the Sumerian mythical kings somehow related?

I have said over and over that here is NO SCRIPTURE that states that the sons of god are fallen angels, how many more times do I have to say it ? As a matter of fact, there is no mention of the term "fallen angel". Not sure how you can say that I don't understand what a fallen angel is, h...

Re: Were the Nephilim and the Sumerian mythical kings somehow related?

Then, we just have to find out, who are the angles that sinned that Jude and Peter speak of. Who are the angels that we will judge according to Paul. Who the Chief princes and princes are in Daniel 10. Who the angles are? I'd have to guess they're obtuse angles, due to the fact that obtuse fits you...

Re: Were the Nephilim and the Sumerian mythical kings somehow related?

Paul, For the sake of this discussion, we can categorize angels, or divine beings as you call them, into two categories. 1) Angels that have not sinned. 2) Fallen angels. Or angels that have sinned. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you seem to agree that "sons of God" does not refer to fallen...

Justhuman wrote: Do you mean you want some 'general rule of wrongfulness'? The basis would be it is wrong to do any harm to any being against their consent. Re: Key Questions for Atheists and Agnostics

Yes. K Ok, great. Would you then agree that a man raping an eight year old girl, is objectively wrong? Meaning, regardless of anyone's opinion, it is wrong to rape an eight year old girl? Rape is allways wrong, whoever or whatever age the victim is. Ok Justhuman, then I'll ask you what I was going ...
