Re: Several questions concerning the fall and evil
Please dont sit here and now tell me that he doesnt mean that God literally gets jealous or angry. Nowhere does he indicate in the least bit that Gods anger or jealousy isnt literal or that its a figurative manifestation of mans notions of God. He plainly explains specifically why God gets angry an...

Re: Several questions concerning the fall and evil
Mag, I think the issue you are confused about, has to do with Anthropomorphism. See what it means, and it might make more sense. In this case, I believe it's the attributing of human emotions, to God.

Re: Wolf to Dog or vice versa
surely dogs should have been intelligently designed first and then man could have bred a wolf or two or more if desired - unless of course wolves were intelligently designed and in the case of humans Primates were intelligently designed - surely human should have been intelligently designed first a...

Re: Higgs boson found.
If it is indeed the boson proposed by Higgs then it solidifies the standard big bang model and that can only be a positive thing for theism. Byblos, what does Bank of America have to do with Higgin's bosom? Why I don't know what you're talking about Rick. 8) Sly as a fox, cunning as a serpent. :twi...

Re: Genesis flood question to ponder
I just thought about this question. If the flood was truly global as some creationists suggest, and the tops of the highest mountains were covered, including Mt. Everest, then how did those on the ark breathe? If Mt. Everest is 29,000 feet above sea level, and water seeks its own level, then the ar...

Re: We're led to temptation?
James 1:13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone.

Re: The natural progression of same sex marriage
Well, it'd be rape, so theres that. IInteresting to bring up age of consent, however. How do you decide it yourself? Scripture doesn't seem helpful on that one. Age of consent is decided by the governing body in the jurisdiction in which you live; it has nothing to do with the Bible. FL So, should ...

Re: From John Lennox - 7 Days that divide the world
That's a good read, Paul. The following quote describes my problem with YEC, when dogmatically preached to the unsaved. The belief that YEC is equal to scripture, draws people away from Christ, for this reason: Usually, even a non-Christian knows something about the earth, the heavens … and this kno...

Re: Physicists find new particle
Sorry, I wasn't clear, but I was pointing out that not knowing that soemthing exists doesn't mean it DOESN'T exist, it means that YOU/WE don't know that it does. Our knowledge of something, or lack there of, has NOTHING to do with that something. Paul, I know what you were saying. I was just teasin...

Re: The natural progression of same sex marriage
Let us not be hypocrites and pretend that we support democracy and abhor discrimination while practicing it cloaked by the very constitution that was written precisely to guard against such practices. It is hypocracy at its highest form. Marriage is a religious institution and ought to remain as su...

Re: Higgs boson found.
At least according to what I've read, the LHC will likely never be powerful enough to actually simulate the very first moments after the big bang. So I suppose if it fits into your worldview someone could try to run with that. Narnia, according to Calvinism, is the Higgs boson particle predestined ...
